Hoofed Food Review

Was invited for a food review session at Hoofed which is located above Tom, Dick and Harry's at TTDI...

STARTER

Smoked duck salad-This salad has an Asian flavor to it...It has Century Egg in it!!! (Pei Dan)

SOUP

Roasted Tomato Soup-RM7...Chantelle's Favorite but I feel it's a bit too thick for me, taste more like tomato puree...

Oxtail Soup-RM15...Very nice when eaten with the pastry on top :-)

Onion soup-RM8...Ooooo lala, unlike the normal french onion soup, this has a layer of CHEESE on top...My favourite soup amongst the three :-)

MAINS

Lamb Shank with mash potato underneath...

This was what Tim & I was waiting for!!! Tim's eyes totally lit up when he saw this :-P (We had the "honor" of tasting this during the soft opening of Hoofed 2 weeks prior to the food review session :-P)

Front-with Garlic sauce & Mustard (Damn bloody good combo)

My usual Siew Yoke/Siow Bak haunt is at Pudu, behind Shaw Parade, but I somehow find the quality of Siew Yoke there dropping :-(...The version in Hoofed is not as fatty as the Legendary Pudu Siew Yoke but it has it's own crispy skin and distinct flavor...Somemore hor, when eaten with the 2 sauces above....really can hear angels singing wei!!! :-P

Sea Bass with Black eye peas (The real black eye peas not the pop group)...Love the combination of the sauce, BEPs & fish in this dish...The plate was literally licked clean :-P

The skin is really crispy eventhough the meat is abit too "fatty" for me...

Love this!!! The meringue is very fresh and airy...

Love the combination of chilled Bananas, Cream, Chocolate & Peanut...Yummm!!! :-)

As you can see, It was Chantelle's Favourite!!! We ordered 2 of these and she offered to finish BOTH...Not something you hear very often from a Beauty Queen who has to constantly watch their diet and keep fit :-)

Bananarama (Hot)...The topping was very very SALTY....don't know whether it was suppose to be like that or they accidentally put in SALT instead of SUGAR...We never found out coz we returned it back to the kitchen and it never came back out...hmmmmm....
