Bangkok Day 1 & 2

Hey all, Here's a blog post on my Bangkok Trip with a close girl friend of mine, Sharon Lum

she said "We were united ( our friendship) by T-R-A-G-E-D-Y" a funny, silly, stupid tragedy which in FACT strategically happened after we planned for this trip...

GOD really do work in the most mysterious ways :-D

We took the Air Asia night flight at around 8pm-ish...

After reaching the airport, smart Sharon who have been to Bangkok like 3-4 times lead us both to the train to get to the hotel...MUCH MUCH cheaper compared to taking the Cab and...NO JAM! :-D

Reached our hotel called Ratchathevii, which was conveniently located just behind Siam Paragon (Bangkok's version of Pavilion)

Sharon darling was in charge of directions in Bangkok as she's the Bangkok Shopping Pro...

We actually did our makeup to go out to meet our other friends Ivy, Cheryl etc at RCA. A clubbing place in Bangkok....but after dilly-dally-ing, it was already 12am and it takes 1/2 hour to go to the clubbing place and clubs in Thailand closes at 2am :-(

So we decided to sleep in instead.......

But us being Kiasu & tak puas hati, we decided to camwhore in our room after putting in effort in "Painting" our faces :-D

The very next day, we woke up at 7-ish to have our breakfast at the hotel before heading out for shopping :-D

Walked to Siam Paragon to take the MRT located right in front

Reached Chatuchak market a.k.a Jatujak market a.k.a JJ creative market @ 9-ish

Don't kena con by the tuk tuk & taxi drivers!!! it's all the same place

A group of Malaysian girls (who asked us for directions) actually kena conned coz the Taxi driver told them that Chatuchak & JJ creative market are 2 different place....hmmmphhh!!!

Sharon, being an interior designer turned Marketing student lovedddd the interior decoration that they had to offer...very artsy & original

Bought a gigantic hat to shade my face & shoulders (2-in-1) from the blazing sun :-D

Sharon introduced me to this OH-SO-DELICIOUS coconut ice-cream!!! Highly recommended if you go to Chatuchak!

My ice-cream with atap chee & nata de coco topping :-D

Me being the shopping queen brought along a HUMONGOUS shopping bag (stuffed all my loots of the day inside!!!)

Chocolate Bananas with peanuts

Other than that, Chatuchak also sells flowers and......

*look at Sharon's so-in-awed expression :-P*

PETS!!! It is damn cheap to buy a pedigree puppy in Thailand! example, Buy 1 for RM200 and if buy 2 only RM180 one!!!

But according to my cousin who owns a pet shop in Malaysia, the animals there are not properly taken care off & not vaccinated. Thus, when importing domestic animals back to Malaysia, they usually won't survive the journey as their immune system is weak:-(

After walking for Oh-So-Loooong, and Sharon was having fainting spells already, we decided to get something to eat

Yummy juicy mangoes

Strawberries!!! which unfortunately was too sour

Blueberry Shaved Ice...Sharon just wanted something cold cold cold as we were both dying/melting from the heat!

The coconut was abit of a dissapointment too :-(

Other than clothes, food & souvenirs in Chatuchak, you'll find many street performers there too!

Like this "doll-faced" guitarist

There were even kids singing and performing at Chatuchak after school!!! (still in their school uniform)

Or did they Ponteng school??? Hmmmm.....

Anyways, I gave them a donation as I'm extremely supportive of future aspiring performers :-D

Took the Buggy service from Siam Paragon back to our hotel (Thank God!)

Our ARRAY of Damages that BURNED our pockets!!!

But then again, with satisfied hearts :-D

Later that night, we actually took a tuk-tuk together with 2 of our other friends who was actually with a separate group to the now-Defunct Suan Lum Night market...

Upon reaching there, the place was like an empty haunted park and the driver told us Suan Lum nightmarket has closed which I told the girls not to believe after reading about all the scams in Bangkok online...

The driver kept on insisting to take us to PatPong Nightmarket, a red light district with fake goods & rude peddlers but I looked at him and told him off with a stern "NO!" and tell him "Don't you dare cheat me! If you know it was closed why did u bring us here at the first place?!"

I swear to God that I almost punched him coz SARAH MAY LOW do not like to get Cheated!!!!

There was another Tuk-Tuk driver that came to "help" our driver by explaining to us nonsense like "owh, he's new...blah blah blah" but I stood tall, puff out my chest like and angry alpha male gorilla & cock-stared him to "not mess with me"... :-D

In the end, Us 4 girls decided to head to the nightmarket in front of Central World Mall with extra fare somemore (!@#$%^&*)

I know I sound super ganas but really, a girl needs to do what a girl needs to do when she's in a scary foreign land...

DON'T MESS!

-End of Bangkok Day 1 & 2-

KAYTHANKSBAI!!!!
