New Zealand: Denny's Restaurant Food Review

A diner is what you usually see in American movies, drama, music videos....it's an eatery that serves mostly western food like your good ole' beef steak and hot cakes/pancake for breakfast.

Everytime I hear the word "Diner" I always burst out in the tune

"Dinner in a diner, nothing could be finer!" a line from a famous american classic hit called "Chatanooga Choo Choo" :-) A song I learnt in Choir :-D

On this particular weekday, I had Dinner in a diner :-D

Went over to Denny's after work for dinner on a Friday evening...this was not after my uncle complained the whole way in the car that he "have to follow" my protein/meat diet...which my uncle say "affected his eating habits" also :-P Oh wells, takes a very tough and strong man to handle me :-D

Talk about fusion! They also serve Nasi Goreng too :-D

When all else fails, there's ketchup to save you :-D I mean save your dinner...

My uncle commented "Why you always take picture of food only? Take picture of me la!" So here you go....my soon to be 39 year old uncle and "boss-at-work" who is the youngest brother of my mum...born in the year of the Rat hence the 2 front tooth :-D

My uncle had Moroccan Lamb NZD$25.00 which came well-done eventhough he requested medium...

I had Roast Beef Meal NZD$15.00 with Mixed Vegetables....I absolutely LOVED the pumpkin/squash above!!! I was sweet, creamy and at the same time savoury from the herbs on it!!! Anyone knows the recipe??? teach me??? :-D

My uncle had a few glasses of Heineken NZD$7.00

While I had Coffee which actually came with my Blueberry Pie NZD$5 (not pictured)

Also had a pot of tea which came together with my Mixed Berry Pie NZD$5.00 ( I know I'm greedy :-P)

Inside the restaurant...there's a play area for Children so that parents can *hopefully* have a peaceful dinner

They also sell momentos there for you to take home :-)

RATINGS
Price: 6/10. Affordable compared to other "Steak" meals around New Zealand
Ambience: 5/10. Noisy family environment
Service: 6/10. Very attentive but hard-selling & sneaky (as me personally :-P) waitress
Taste: 5/10. So-so. Good enough to just fill the stomach.
