AUSTRALIA TRAVEL 2012: Great Ocean Road & Club/Pub Hopping Night

Super Epic Day! woke up late and it was the day of all days that I wasn't suppose to be late as I was scheduled to meet a tour group in the City to go to the GREAT OCEAN ROAD.

As they say, Bad Luck comes in 3 folds, the tram on that ill-fated day DIVERTED!!! Oh my god!!! I was taking the tram alone and usually once it reaches the turning to the city at Victoria Market, it's my cue to look out for my stop...But...but....it didn't turn into Elizabeth St. but turned into William St.....Thank god I travel on my own pretty often and I intuitively knew something wasn't right when I started to see high-rise buildings all around me....

I took out the Melbourne City map and ask the other passenger on the Tram....the Philipino lady I asked was clueless too @__@...."That's it! Time to hop off the tram!!!" I told myself.

Thank god my navigational skills wasn't to bad and I managed to hop on another tram and get to my destination!!! Phew!!! I even had time to buy myself a Big Muffin Mcdonald Breakfast and Some drinks from 7 eleven :-D

Houmaigaad! Breakfast Muffin with heavenly BACON!!!
Calvin then called my cellphone and asked me "Eh!!! Where are you??? I forgot to tell you that the train got diverted!!!"

Me "Don't worry! I realised! Found my way back to the tour place already :-)"

Started the tour with the tour guide explaining Melbourne in 2 languages, English & Mandarin...Thank God I understand both :-)

He said...

A journey to Melbourne would not be complete without a trip to the Great Ocean Road

I then fell asleep on the bus......but like I said earlier....Bad Luck comes in 3 folds....I woke up upon arrival at ANGLESEA

and this was what I found missing.....

ONE SIDE OF MY CONTACT LENSES!!! T__T...Spent the rest of the trip one eye blind.....FML big time! I also lost my camera cloth wiping thingie......my phone also went dead halfway throughout the journey...Zzzz...

Upon "near-ing" the starting point of the GREAT OCEAN ROAD, we saw many bungalow houses which were built on top on a hill...

Apparently, this belong to MEL GIBSON

The properties here are built "eco-friendly" hence NO flattening on the land/hill and thus, the houses has to follow the shape on the land/hill...

Also stopped for a bit at the Coalmine Creek...nothing much, just people fishing :-)

Was super dizzy going down the windy road to Great Ocean Road....I just told myself to 'fall asleep" so that I'll sleep through the dizziness and me wanting to puke...urghhh...

Next stop was APOLLO BAY

Family band
Apollo Bay is an interesting small town where most tourist make pit stops at while on the GREAT OCEAN ROAD. A good place to stop for food
Meet a fortune reading GYPSY!!! But unfortunately she was fully booked and I had to leave :-( Boo Hoo~~

Interesting looking flowers

Lone traveller picture...WEEE!!! :-D

You can even have a massage, by the sea :-D That is if you don't mind curious onlookers and people who takes photographs...like me! :-P
Bought some organic apples for lunch...coz I wanted something "not oily" as I was already wanting to puke...after the long ride on the windy road...

There are a lot of BUSKERS a.k.a street performers around...

Lions Club! Roar roar roar! XD

Before we continue on, let me tell you a story...

After and hour or so at Apollo Bay, we were asked to meet up and board the bus.....the tour guide switched some of the passengers places coz many of them were feeling sick....this particular family of 4...mum, father, daughter and grandmother were pissed off coz they had to change seat (duh!)....but the tour guide was being really nice and all explaining to them...

The mother and father blew up...because of such trivial matter (like seriously???!!!) and was spurting vulgarities in Cantonese to the tour guide...their either from Hong Kong or Guangzhou/Guangdong as they were speaking in Cantonese but considering their attitude...I guess they are definitely from Mainland...=__="

At first I kinda pity their daughter...she's around 21-25 but after hearing her bitching too...I have no sympathy at all, I guess birds of a feather all flock together and an apple NEVER falls very far from the tree...the mother was fat and dressed all in PINK!!! you know like all those stereotypical chinese auntie who wants to act rich but cannot hide the fact that they are sooo kampung???...sighhhh...

They went on to giving attitude to the whole bus-driver, tour guide and anyone else who could understand cantonese...

I hate all this freaking chinese Asians...memalukan maruah bangsa dan negara...though I understood all their cursing and swearing, I acted as if I don't speak Chinese as I didn't want to get involve in their Big "Hoo Haa"

After that small matter-tuned-big scene, we then headed to Gibson steps

The highlight of the tour came after that, The TWELVE APOSTLES

The 12 Apostle was beautiful though only about 7 are left standing :-S

SO DAMN FUNNY!!! HAHAHAHAH!!!

Tourist can also opt for a helicopter ride also...couldn't remember the price though >__<"
After all the Oooos and Ahhhhs at the 12 Apostle, we headed to Loch Ard
The history of Lord Arc

Apparently, a loooonnnnggggg time ago, a ship sunk and 2 survivors were drifted to Loch Ard....The end...hahahah...I'm terrible at telling stories...I'll always give you the shortest and straight to the point version :-P

Saw loads of this seaweed thingamajig at the beaches...
We headed back to Melbourne City after the final stop and I slept all the way while they were also showing video clips of Miss Chinese Melbourne 2011 pageant on the bus....

Reached the city and I was FAMISHED!!! Before I headed back, I decided to get Subway with some bacon/ham...
Asian liquor
Later that night, I manage to con convince Adrian to ditch his online games and take me out drinking XD

Long Long Island was the name of the drink...and I was walking zig zaggy already after this...PHAIL.COM T__T
Saturday night and the place was FULL!!! Lovely view at the balcony area but full of noisy people smoking.....
The entrance...I'm too lazy to turn this picture around and re-reload it...so bear with it :-P

We then headed for location number 2 :-D
Section 8

Loved this Mojito...yummy yummy!!!

Morgan, me & Adrian :-D
This place was more relaxing and there oscillation though the toilets were NASTYYYYY!!! lol!!!! One white girl came out of the toilet in front of me and said "I grew up in a farm, but this is just NASTY!!!" LOLOL!!!
little lambbb...
To "appease" my newly alcoholic self, Morgan & Adrian took me to the liquor shop to get more "juice" :-D
Adrian with my MNG Jacket...

That night, I was introduced to a 4 litre packet of wine which was only AUD$12???!!! Damn cheap!!! Couldn't really remember what happened the rest of the night but I knew there were loads of laughter, bonding sessions & of coz...HAPPY JUICE! XD
