Launch of Taste of New Zealand

One beautiful sunny day, my MHB (Malaysia's Hottest Blogger) Manager, Tim Chew sent an e-mail to me asking whether I would like to attend the Launch of Taste of New Zealand at Trader's Hotel.

I told Tim, "Of course I want!!! I didn't spent 7 months in New Zealand eating/taking pics of food for NOTHING!!! lol!!!"

Tim then asked me "What is New Zealand Food like?"

Note to self: Camera lighting will drown my "chink-y features" more makeup next time!!!
I answered "Premium meat/beef like scotch fillet & angus beef, salmon, seafood, their fresh produce like dairy, wine, cheese, kiwi fruit and also their Pavlova!"....eventhough the Australians decided to adopt Pavlova later....still a HOT unresolved debate very similar to Malaysia & Singapore's "Yee Sang" debate :-P
Just had a business meeting prior to this event, hence the very OL/Business-woman like look XD
Upon my arrival at Gobo, Traders Hotel...I KNEW that my prediction was SPOT ON :-D

Cheese, Beef, Pavlova...etc....
The girls and I had at least 4 scoop of these babies each!!! XD
Actually horrrr....in New Zealand, Movenpick is more famous than New Zealand Natural....you can only find New Zealand Natural in the malls while Movenpick are sprouted everywhere especially sea side areas in Auckland like Mission Bay & Britomart XD

These babies are AWESOME POSSUM!!! The most addictive one was the wasabi flavored fish roe :-D....though I doubt I've ever heard of seen wasabi-flavoured ones in New Zealand :-S
Oh yea babeh!!! XD  Yummmzerrrsss!!! <3
Guess who the Girls and I met at the event!!! The one and only.....
CHEF WAN!!!!
Such a funny and charismatic individual...he was invited to share his experience on being in New Zealand and tasting New Zealand's food....

He spent a lot of his time and in his own words.....
Making "Love" to his oysters....LOL!!!
At the event, this Waikato-grown tea was being promoted there too....never knew Waikato was ever famous for tea :-S
Chef Alan, The "brains" behind this event XD

Happy Girls with Happy Filled Up Tummies :-D
More information on Taste New Zealand which I've "borrowed" from TimeOutKL

"This month, Malaysians will get the chance to experience the freshest of New Zealand ingredients including Green Lipped mussels, beef, lamb, king salmon and Manuka honey. Immaculately-prepared dishes will be prepared at Gobo Upstairs as part of a seven-course menu and a four-course tasting menu. Priced from RM150++, New Zealand king salmon confit, diced mango, duo of avacado and fennel apple salad will feature as a main along with the combination of New Zealand lamb rack and herb crusted New Zealand beef tenderloin.

Meanwhile the more casual Gobo Chit Chat will offer daily NZ-inspired dishes in their buffet spreads such as the leg of lamb salad, New Zealand cheeses, clam chowder and beef ribs. The buffet is available at RM68++ during lunchtime and RM88++ for dinner. Also, SkyBar is participating in the monthly theme by creating three cocktails using 42 Below vodka and Manuka honey."

Happy 24th Dragon Birthday to me!!! XD Today marks a new beginning!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!

Hello everyone!!! It's my birthday today and I feel extremely Happy & Overwhelmed.....

Like every birthday every year it signifies a new beginning for me.....and things keep running through my mind, mixed thoughts and emotions....

I officially have graduated now and will be attending my convocation in Australia this coming April after 3-4 years of working 2-3 jobs saving up to pay for my studies.....FINALLY!!! OHMAIKOT!!!

I'm also in transition stages right now and embarking on a new career line which is Real Estate & Financial Services Consultancy....you can check out my professional blog www.sarahmaylow.com but it's still in work-in-progress mode :-)

So much things I have gone through these past few years that has changed my perspective as a person.

Time to put all the set backs and dissapointments behind and start life a new :-D

I thank all of you for your best wishes and I will collect all this positive energy and propel me to GREATER heights, super saiya style ;-D

Dear Higher Beings from up above, all I want for my Birthday is a Peace of Mind & a GREAT career this year!

In true Sarah May Low fashion, I have had an astrology reading for myself (coz I'm special like that :-D)

Happy birthday! Today the Sun returns to the position it was in when you were born.
As would seem appropriate with this transit, today is a day of new beginnings, and the influences you feel today will affect the entire year to come. However, this does not mean that the whole year will be disappointing if today doesn't work out exactly as planned. You are receiving a new impulse from the energy center within you, as symbolized by the Sun. Therefore any new venture that you start at this time will ride the crest of this new energy and will very likely come to an acceptable conclusion. Whatever you do or begin today will bear the stamp of your individuality more than anything else. This is the day to assert yourself anew.
With Love,

Sincerely from the bottom of my heart,
Sarah May Low

Show some Love for yourself at Embun Day Spa

In the words of the GREATEST diva of all time, the late Whitney Houston:

"The Greatest Love of all, is to LOVE YOURSELF"
That is absolutely true because why should other people love you if you do not love yourself? Many people associate self-pampering with being too rich or spoilt or being too free but times have changed my dear.
We women of the 21st century lead busy busy livessss...in fact housewives nowadays lead multiple lives too!!! Dun misunderstand my words...I'm not saying multiple lives in a "wrong" kind of sense a.k.a desperate housewives, what I meant was other than child-rearing I find many intelligent housewives nowadays having online businesses, playing shares, selling properties/insurance, etc......
Sometimes we get sooo exhausted from giving and pleasing OTHER people that we need to find our "CENTER" a.k.a Peace of mind
"Clarity. Peace. Serenity"-Fergie, Big Girls Don't Cry
I've been getting backaches recently from my hours on the computer and hours sitting in the car stuck in the Malaysian INFAMOUS never-ending jam.....
I decided that I needed to "nurture" myself first before I can contribute anymore to the society.
Thus, I signed myself up for a 2 1/2 hour SPA SESSION at Embun Spa...

Today was such a Horrible day until I read this.....

I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles. ~Audrey Hepburn

Sarah May Low: WTF? speechless.......

Friend: He came to me last month to resign but he came n withdraw n tender n withdraw again abt 5 times. Then finally he decided to resign. When I was abt to proceed, his boss called to stop me so in the end he didn't resign

Sarah May Low: why his boss stop u?

Friend: He says the guy wants to withdraw after discussing wif him.

Sarah May Low: the boss also must feel so guilty

Friend: Not his fault. I think a lot of factors also like family n frens support

Sarah May Low: why so "tai em hoi"??? sighhh...work stress oni ma....wasted 23 years of life

Friend: Really lo....But we can nvr understand

Sarah May Low: but really is it becoz of work stress?are u close to him? is he like the nerdy type?

Friend: Dunno we suspect la. But his boss nvr stress him oso. Not very close .. He's not nerdy, Good looking n very gd results (I'd believe her since our "bench mark" for good looking is Wang Lee Hom)

Sarah May Low: WAHHHHHHH!!! good looking somemore arrhhh!!! maybe got relationship problem? they say men only got 2 problem....either career/money or women

Friend: Not sure...But got gf in KL... I think he wants to resign n parents don support cos wan the son to work in Sg tell him don't come back to msia.... So he got no where to turn to

Sarah May Low: Committing Suicide is a big sin lor!!!will go to hell!!!wth.... I no money/bf/career/haven't graduate/no property also I haven't kill myself yet....no singing career also...

"Leng Chai, Good in Studies, Engineer & Earning Sg Dollar....Hmmmppphhh............"

Seriously?! I even faced public humiliation after losing out in Miss World Malaysia 2009....Shouldn't I throw myself into the VOLCANO (New Zealand has one of the World's Super Volcano...go google!) when I was in New Zealand? The whole WORLD knew about me losing leh! My relatives, friends, colleagues, agents, the whole Theatre industry, My WHOLE primary & secondary schoolmates and also the WHOLE Puchong, FRIENDSTER, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, BLOG FANS, MY HOST FAMILY IN JAPAN, FRIENDS IN TAIWAN & NEW ZEALAND.....

Yet I'm living my life damn full & happy happy only....or am I in D-E-N-I-A-L??? O__O"

I finally went back to church this year and the first sermon by the priest was "God gives life, that is why it is a sin to KILL life (abortion/commit suicide/murder)

No reason at all to die....Think of all the people who love you and trusted in you and you turned out to be a SELFISH *SSHOLE!

Anyways, back to the topic of my blog post title...January came and left....OMG....so fast!!!

It's been a lazy January for me....procrastinated a lot even though I've got SOOOO many other things to do...T__T

How's my resolution going??? Actually I already FAILED majority of them....Zzzzz

But THANK GOD, I'm CHINESE!!! Hence, there was a 2nd chance at my resolution for me (Chinese "New Year" mah)...tee hee~~~and I hope it'll go well....

2012 (the english one) turned out pretty crappy for me....A lot of the things that I was seeking and aiming for did not materialise...They say it ain't a good year for Dragon people eventhough it is the year of the Dragon.....but as they say

There's a silver lining after every storm

And I got my first silver lining today!!! Just a small silver lining but enough to cheer me up :-)

Gonna go get my Feng Shui reading after CNY and I hope I get a super duper awesome reading!!!

Was just thinking to myself, what would I do if the Feng Shui Master tells me that

I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE AN ENGINEER/ASTRONAUT/FEMALE FOOTBALL PLAYER???

O__O" GG.COM

I doubt I'd be interested in studying for another 5/6/7 years in a field which I'm not interested in...We'll see what the Feng Shui Master says :-D
