If there was one place in Bangkok that I would love to go back for food over and over again it would be this place-Issaya Siamese Club!

A bit of background & history of the restaurant :-)
We were seated outside at first...and the humidity really got to us...:'(
I was also struggling to take clear pictures by changing settings after settings as the lighting there was pretty bad...ok, in fine dining terms Bad Lighting=Romantic...
We started off with their signature cocktails...
Issaya's complimentary appetizer
Thank god right after finishing the appetizer, a couple left and there was a table available in the air-conditioned section of the restaurant!!! Hallelujah!!!
Other than order ala carte, Issaya also offers 2 degustation menus. The first was priced at THB 1500 (RM150) per person and the other one was around THB 2200 (RM220) per person. There's a minimum order of 2 person per degustation menu. Initially J wanted to order the latter one which has about 10-course but we both settled for the former (8-course) as I noticed that the 2 signature dish (which I read on blogs and wanted to try) was in the 8-course degustation menu.

This Chili Glazed Baby Back Ribs is one of the signature dish at Issaya and a definite MUST ORDER when you are here!!!
Yam Nua Yang - Grilled Beef Salad. Nice & Refreshing
Yum Hua Plee (fresh heart of palm and banana blossom salad)

Raspberry sorbet as palate cleanser
After I was done with my first round of cocktail, I had another round of Issaya's Signature Mojito
and yes, though we were seated inside, the lighting was still bad, had to wrestle with the camera a few times before I finally got an "ok" shot.
If you look carefully, you can see that there are flames on the chicken! Tried to catch it and the flash came on...grrr!

Closer look at the chicken-Gai ob prik (slow-cooked turmeric Sankaburee all-natural chicken)
Multigrain rice?-really loved this. So many different texture & ingredients in this rice dish and absolutely tasty too!
Yum Makuapow (grilled eggplant salad with tiger prawns)
Lamb shank
This wasn't a camera setting but bad lighting issues :-P
Ladies & Gentleman, introducing to you the BEST PANNA COTTA I have ever tasted in 25 1/2 years of my life!!! *hands down* It melts in your mouth and tasted like double boiled milk 双煮豆浆 one of my favorite Chinese dessert! In Thai, it is called the Kanom Dok Mali (jasmine flower panna cotta)
and I assure you, being a lifestyle blogger and going around for food reviews, I have tasted many & enough Panna Cotta to tell you that this is indeed the best!!!
I feel like crying just thinking about this dessert as it is now so far away from me T__T...2 things to comeback to Issaya for is the Chilli Glazed Baby Back Ribs and Jasmine Flower Panna Cotta!!!
Issaya's Homemade Marshmallows were also offered to us after paying the bill :-) Fresh & yummy!
Romantic, Cosy & Beautiful...a different ambience from our dinner at Vertigo & Moon Bar, The Banyan Tree the night before but still amazing nonetheless
And old bungalow converted to a romantic restaurant...genius!

I've been wanting to see this place with my own eyes after seeing a lot of my blogger girl friends blog about this place

Is it really that beautiful? Yes, it really was!!!

The Dome was majestic and the view of the city, roads below and cars flashing by was just Fantastic!
However, one major problem and stupid rule was that pictures can only be taken at the bar area (which was ridiculously packed with people) and not when you are sitting down having drinks...
I wasn't satisfied as the pictures didn't really turn out well :-(

Can't remember it's exact name but it has loads of "chocolatey" ingredients...
Flirtini
Drinks here are crazy expensive so you would have to assume it to be the "ticket" price up the tower...I read on other blogs that it would be windy but the weather these past few weeks has been crazily hot, humid and the air is still :-(
There was also a Jazz Band to entertain guest through the night...
