FOOD REVIEW: Italian Fine Dining at Favola, Le Meridien

It's been awhile since we had a romantic dinner date together (non-family, friends or colleagues related event)

Was pretty excited to dress up, wait for my prince charming in his shining silver horse and ride off to the moonlight :-P

Blame my mum for all those Princess Cartoons that I have watched while I was a lil girl :-P

Yeap...messy room! A girl can't have too many things right?

So we headed towards Sentral. Really hate driving around there sometimes as there are a lot of constructions going on and with the roads diverting making us stressed out as we would sometimes make wrong turns...But then again, I predict that there'll be even more Fine Dining places coming up soon in this area considering there would be a couple more hotels that would be built in a few years time. I'm also wanting to try Graze at Hilton & have drinks at the Mai Bar at Aloft *hint*hint* :-P

So we braved unknown and arrived at Favola (which means Fable in Italian) in Le Meridien hotel fabulously late...about 30 minutes to be exact...:-P

Thank god it was worth it going through the trouble of getting here as I have read very good reviews of the food here-Italian cuisine is what Favola specializes in...

From the start, the bread and sauces was super duper yummy!!! I love breads that are warm and soft so the breads here hit the spot!

Right now, Favola is running an antipasti buffet promotion...and I would advice you to TAKE IT!!! Either pay RM45 per person for it or order a main dish and the antipasti buffet would be complimentary...

Also if you have UOB, Maybank or CIMB bank credit cards, you would be entitled to a discount but it is not valid with the antipasti promotion
I had 2 or 3 servings...the cheese were really good too!

Another item on my HIGHLY recommended list. We agreed that this Jumbo Scallops Dish is my favourite in Klang Valley.

Big & Juicy...#nuffsaid

Lamb Shank (RM78)...I'm not a big fan of Lamb Shank but this was yummy!

Wagyu Beef (RM 123) This was just so-so but the mash potatoes were good...Please take note that there weren't any selection of sauces and there's peppercorns in the sauce...warning for those of you who do not like pepper

We also had white wine to accompany our dinner and there are currently having a promotion for their Australian Wines (both red & white) at RM 130. We chose a slightly expensive one at RM170 as I liked something that was fruity and sweet :-)
