FOOD REVIEW: Fine Dining at Ozeki, Menara TA Kuala Lumpur

I know I'm very blessed to always have an abundance of good food to eat. Always having good food to eat is my DESTINY. No kidding. I have a mole on the left side of my torso that signifies that "I will never go hungry" and all fortune tellers that I have met (about 8-10 of them) tells me that I will always be surrounded by people who love to "feed me"....That has been very TRUE!!!

Hakkaisan Sake...preferred this one
The other sake which name I not know. The sake is poured into the Bamboo and then freezed in a bucket of ice. Apparently this method would make the sake chill faster
I have previously visited Ozeki twice...Pretty excited this time round as they have move their location closer to the main entrance and has just introduced a new menu! :-D
Edamame beans to start

Fresh Oyster! They only had 8 of them left and we took all of it :-D

Potato Salad with Marinated Soft Boiled Egg (Ajitsuke Tamago). The type of egg you would find with your usual Ramen meal.

The Potato Salad was smooth and creamy but the eggs can be improved.

They used to only serve only Salmon Carpaccio but in their updated menu, this dish now has Tuna, Salmon and Salmon Belly

Tako (Octopus) Carpaccio. This was incredibly yummy & refreshing! Especially when combined with it's herbed sauce, tomatoes and capers which gave this dish it's slightly salty taste. I didn't know what was a Caper previously (the ones that looks like green peas in the picture).

Deep-fried Crab Claw meat...A really nice snack food that goes great with sake or even beer...

Guess what is it?

Smoked Salmon Belly Salad...Do eat it immediately once the cover is lifted as you would get the taste of the yummy smoke vapor which slowly melts in your mouth. Highly recommended!

Braised Baby Octopus

Japanese Potato Croquette that comes with Teriyaki Sauce

My favorite top 3 foie gras Goose Liver. Strangely, it wasn't that good that day...Or I probably was too busy taking pictures and left it for too long till it's cold >__<"

This is the famous Matsuzaka Marbled Beef. Had 200gm of this Delicious delicacy. Those were the sauces that came with the dish. But trust me, eating it on it's own is good enough. You won't be needing any sauces that would spoil it's taste.

You can cook it on your own or request that the wait staff cook it for you. Well, we were just plain lazy :-P and also we were busy stuffing ourselves with food. So it was better that the wait staff cooked it for us just in case we were to overcook it.

Marbled goodness that melts in your mouth...Heaven! What I love about Marbled beef (despite it's high fat content) is that the fat melts in my mouth and is easy to bite and soft. I hate overcooked beef with chewy/rubbery texture...blerghhh...Had some bad experience with Beef steaks for the past 2 weeks..

Barbecued (Toriyaki) Chicken Skin, Heart and Wing...The Chicken Wing use to come in 2 wings per stick (as you would find in my previous post) but now just one wing per stick as the wings are bigger...

Barbecued Gingko Nuts & Chicken Liver

Barbecued Lamb

We only had 4 of the Fresh Oysters, the rest where steam with Ozeki's signature Mushroom Sauce...Slightly Spicy but delicious with the freshness of the Oysters still prominent

Scallop (Hotate) Ravioli...Very soft and just slides around your mouth....though it is yummy, I am not a fan of slimy dishes

I love Escargots but unfortunately this wasn't memorable at all :-(

Slipper Lobster with Wasabi Mayonnaise

Barbecued Squid

Matcha Ice-Cream

Black Sesame Ice Cream

Pomegranate and Lemon Sorbet...This was really good! Not too sweet or sour...Highly recommend this....

Pineapple Sorbet

Verdict: For a table of 4 person, we ordered a total of 24 dishes!!!!! I think I have beaten my own record...Even for my usual "by invitation Food Reviews", I have never had 24 dishes in one seating (Buffets excluded). I had indigestion for 3 days after this meal T__T....nevertheless, amazing food and new menu at Ozeki and wonderful company too :-)
