EUROPE TRAVEL 2012: Paris Champs Elyssee & Eiffel Tower

Though I have heard of many "horror stories" of the French being snobbish and unhelpful towards tourist but I beg to differ! After arriving Paris by train from London, the best friend and I had trouble navigating to our hotel and not knowing a single french word except for "Omelet du Fromage" (Cheese Omelette) which I learned from the cartoon Dexter's Laboratory years back. Nope, Cheese Omelet wasn't helpful at all.

But I believe the heavens heard our prayers. A french lady who spoke very good English was so kind to us and took us to our hotel. I am forever grateful to her! God bless that kind soul!

That's the lady in front. Our hotel was quite a walk from the train station but it was an "affordable" option as we were on a budget.
You just CANNOT imagine how we managed to luged around our super duper heavy luggages around Europe...yes, yes, we were totally "Glam-packing"

The super vintage lift at the hotel

Our humble bedroom for the night. Didn't require a heater at all since it was really cosy

First stop in Paris was the Champs Elyssee shopping district
All French luxury brands you would like to find can be found here...except of course Chanel which is a few roads away

French pastries!!!

Decided to look super pretty could I lose to all those classy french women right? :-D

Guess what's behind me???
The LV flagship store!!! :-D
They were setting up for the premiere of the new (then!) James Bond Movie "Skyfall"

The obligatory pictures and the many other failed attempts...LOL!!!

Got my 1st ever Louise Vuitton bag here and with a whopping 100Euro (RM400) bucks cheaper!!!

Didn't know what place this was at first but we entered just because we saw lots of cute guys there

Then I finally figured out it was Abercrombie & Fitch!

Back to the train station for our next spot

Non-other than the beautiful Paris Eiffel Tower *teary eyed*
I was pretty overwhelmed to see the Eiffel Tower as I never thought I would have a chance to see the Eiffel Tower till my Honeymoon...which I had expected would take a couple of years

Totally a dream come true!!!
Walking along the river banks was really nice and therapeutic too...

As it was still early as we booked our tickets for a specific time slot, we decided to head for dinner at a cafe nearby first

The name of the restaurant/cafe

Steak & Fries

Creme Caramel...yum yum!

By the time we reached the Eiffel Tower, my feet was already killing me from all that walking the entire day

This building was located opposite of the Eiffel Tower, I think it's their parliament building or something...

Lot's of dark blurry pictures due to the insufficient lighting :-(

Up up the lift we go...there are 3 levels of the Eiffel tower.  Eventhough we booked a few weeks earlier, we only manage to get tickets to go up to the second highest floor :-(

Just breathtaking & beautiful!!! No other words to describe it...
