FOOD REVIEW: Afternoon Tea at The Drawing Room, Carcosa Seri Negara KL

Last month, my Singapore best friend (yes, I group my best friends geographically) came back for a couple of days and we decided to head for Hi-Tea at Carcosa Seri Negara to catch up with news on our work and life :-)
"Someday, my prince will come, someday we'll meet again, and the way to his castle we'll know. We'll be happy forever I know"-Snow White
High Tea here is RM75 per person but it's all worth it as the ambiance is beautiful and so if the view outside. Guest gets to choose between 2 menus on the weekend which is the English Spread and the Malaysian spread which consists of our Malaysian Kuih Muih and Confectionaries. Of course we pick the English High Tea.
My Raspberry Tea was delicious! In fact, it taste like Ribena but less sweet.
The best friend had another tea which I forgot but I remember it tasted just as divine.
There was a pianist playing some beautiful old tunes which I loved and couldn't stop singing along to :-)
The savory spread which includes tuna open sandwiches, chicken pies and smoke salmon croissants
Banana Cake, apple crumble and grape tarts

Chocolate cake, Creme Brûlée & Carrot Cake

Delicious scones!!!

Verdict: Food was just OK to me but the best friend loved the scones. I loved the dreamy english duchess-like ambiance which made me feel like Taylor Swift's Love Story. The best friend told me to stop singing that song coz it reminded her of things that she don't want to remember :-S Oh wells, every song has a history I guess both good and bad. Thank you best friend for the treat!
