VIETNAM HO CHI MINH TRAVEL 2017: Tan Dinh Catholic Pink Church

Dear all,

As most of you already knew, I have decided to move to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam to terrorized the hearts of men in Vietnam embark on a new career path. Actually, the career path is the same, but I'm enhancing my skill set by exploring social media marketing, influencer marketing, PR, creative, etc together with PersonEdge Vietnam :-)

So if you have any "leads", do PM me on my Facebook Fanpage or email me at lowsarahmay@gmail.com :-)

I'm super grateful to my new company and new boss (+ long time fellow blogger friend, Dr. Choo Mei Sze) for this opportunity! So, my company decided to rent an apartment at Tan Dinh area in the borderline of District 1 & 3. District 1 is basically the CENTRAL of Ho Chi Minh City.

There are several "tourist" landmarks around where I live, with the closest being Tan Dinh Market & Tan Dinh Catholic Church...

A FREAKING PINK CATHOLIC CHURCH!!! WHUTTTT!!!!!

The only reason why I would go to church on Sundays because I'm a pure & innocent Catholic girl is because this church looks like Hello Kitty land. I'm a BIG Hello Kitty Fan :D Sorry Jesus!

Tân Định church or also known in the Vietnamese language as Nhà thờ Tân Định (Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) is a church that was built during the French colonial period in the 1880s when Vietnam was part of French Indochina. The church is situated at 289 Hai Bà Trưng street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and belongs to Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City.
The church architecture features Roman style architecture. It is the second largest church in Ho Chi Minh City, after the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica or known in Vietnamese as Nhà thờ Đức Bà Sài Gòn) in District 1. According to my Vietnamese colleague Tu Anh, it only became Saturated/Instagram-friendly Pink in the recent years after they repainted. Previously, it was only a light shade of Pink :)

Note: Unfortunately, there's NO English Mass/Service (I've checked), however, feel free to sit in for the Vietnamese Mass/Service as per the timings below :)
