Latin Dancing was a huge part of my life when I was 16/17 years old :-)

Coincidentally during my high school ballerina years, I took ballet lessons at a Dance School in Sri Petaling that was famous for producing award winning Latin Dancers....some went on to representing the country in SEA games and international level Latin Competitions....

One of them is my friend Cecilia Yong, Winner of So You Think You Can Dance Season who was my dance school senior and someone I highly look up to in many ways :-)

Her dance partner Alfred is also someone whom I know and performed with in Last year's Cabaret the Musical...a super talented and dedicated young boy :-)

I would often watch my dance school friends and envy them....always loved how sexy Latin Dancing and their costume looked....so in the end, I decided to take up Latin Dance classes and even took my Bronze level examination :-) But after that I had to quit dancing as I had SPM and then I started college and my dad eventually had lungs cancer and stopped working....SUPER tough period of my life......I cried 3 days & 3 nights when I had to stop Ballet & Latin Dancing......

Though I do regret that after stopping dancing for so long and eventually loosing my strength, skills and stamina, in a way, like they say, god has a funny way in throwing you hurdles and opportunities in life......I went on to do more singing performances and Musicals :-)

Anyways back to Latin Dancing, In 2010, I decided to "reignite" my passion in Latin Dancing and was introduced to Salsa clubs by my dear friend Mike Yip :-)

After signing up at BodyExpress Gym I was super excited to try out their Latin Dance class which is held every Friday! The class is conducted by their instructor from Brazil, Leonardo and he also teaches spinning and also other body-building classes! (Super Talented eh?!)

Leonardo is super good in Salsa that I sometimes wanna bang my head on the wall for being so incompetent T__T...I freaking can't shake my bum anymore....

Pietro Food Review @ Damansara Heights

Was super duper late for the food review at Pietro thanks to Malaysia's infamous jam and the fact that I have to travel all the way from my home which is located at a super "ulu" place 10 minutes from Cyberjaya T__T......

Tim & my MHB girlfriends were so kind to keep aside some food for me so that I'd be able to taste all the dishes served at Pietro #forevergrateful <3

Pietro is located on the ground level of Menara ECM Libra...I find that the location is FANTASTIC as it is not "clustered" together with the other bungalow houses turned fine dining restaurants (with gangster parking attendant who threatens you! ) located at the opposite side of Damansara Heights....hence, the parking is Nearby & Ample!!! Also considering the FACT that we girls love wearing heels and it's such a pain to park your car faraway and you having to walk a long way on the god-forsaken bumpy/gravel road #woeisme

Burrata - Fresh Burrata cheese with fresh cherry tomatoes and rucola salad-RM52.00

Once seated, the dish that first greeted me was this! BURRATA!!!

BURRA-WHAT??!!

Okok!!! Let me educate you a bit, if you are a foodie ~~TAM-CHIAK~~ person like me, you've probably seen this on some some food channel/show on Astro...

(Taken from Wikipedia) Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese, made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella while the inside contains both mozzarella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. It is also defined by some sources as an outer shell of mozzarella filled with butter or a mixture of butter and sugar. It is usually served fresh, at room temperature. The name "burrata" means "buttered" in Italian.

It is best when eaten within 24 hours, and is considered past its prime after 48 hours. The flavour and different textures of the inside and outside make it go well with salad, prosciutto crudo, crusty bread, fresh tomatoes with olive oil and cracked black pepper, or pasta.

I absolutely loved the taste of it!!! It's unlike anything I've tasted before...firstly, it has that cheesy-milky taste but the texture of "tau foo fah" a.k.a sweet beancurd with creamy flowing out when you pierce through it yet it looks like poached eggs....

Best part IS...you don't need to fly to Italy to have it! :-)

Capesante - Pan-fried scallop served with balsamic,rucola salad and parmesan cheese-RM38.00

Capellini ai Gamberi-Angel hair pasta with prawns and chillies, sparkled with a touch of white wine RM 38.00

Taglietelle alla Bolognese - Homemade tagliatelle served with hand-cut stewed beef in rich tomato sauce-RM30.00

Risotto con Fungi - Stewed risotto italian style with mushrooms and parmesan cheese-RM45.00

The Risotto is one of my favorite dish there as I'm a sucker for anything with cheese....Love the rich taste of cheese in this dish :-) Yum yum!

Carre' Arrosto di Vitello - Roasted veal rack, served with mashed potato and mushroom-RM122.00

Merluzoz - roasted cod fish with portobello mushroom and ratatouile-RM68.00

Branzino - Whole Grilled Barramundi , served with vegetable, salsa verde and salad-RM62.00

This is my FIRST time having Italian-styled fish....usually when we think of Italian food it would usually be Pizza or Pasta but I absolutely love something that is not-so-carbohydrate heavy like this dish! :-) At first I thought it was a fusion dish as it looks very Asian but Wendy (the owner) assured me that this is how fish are cooked in Italy.

Pizza Diavola - Tomato, Mozarella Cheese,, Chillies and beef pepperoni-RM32.00

Pure vanilla cream Brule-RM20.00

Mele e Gelato-Filo pastry and apples, served with vanilla gelato and vanilla sauce-RM20.00

Pietro Tiramisu-Mascarpone, savoiardi biscuit with Marsala wine served with strawberry-RM22.00

Fondant Valrhona-Hot chocolate in the center, comes along fresh cream and gelato-RM 28.00

Oh my god....Ohh La La...Foodgasmmmmmm!!!!!!! I think this was majority of the girl's favourite :-)

Panna Cotta-Italian creamy flan, served with fresh berry sauce-RM18.00

Wendy went on and introduce 2 types of Italian digestives for us. She was being considerate as majority of us girls were driving , she just gave us a tiny bit of both of the digestive to try out as the percentage of alcohol is pretty high!

Lemoncello which has a concentrated lemon taste

I would have to admit that my hair and dressing was a bit PHAIL on that day....I cut my hair pretty short and realized that curling my hair to an outward sweep is NOT working anymore!!! Curls + short hair=AUNTIE!

And I was dressed to a beach kind of setting....probably a sign that I REALLY NEED A HOLIDAY! :-S

Broitzeit Food Review: Round 2

A while back I had a food review at the new Brotzeit Branch in Sunway Pyramid which is located right near the main entrance under the Lions head :-)

Yes! We are the same age! Though I look 5 years older T__T

But before I move on to talk about the review, I was at Mid Valley's Brotzeit last night again to have drinks with my good friend Vin See who was my classmate in form 1...(she always saves me when I forget to do my Mathematics homework & let me copy hers :-P) who eventually ~~left me and~~ went over to Singapore to study in form 2...:'( It's been 11 years since and she's still the pure-hearted and righteous girl I used to know :-)

It's my good High School buddy Jason's birthday tomorrow too and Vin See's birthday was 2 weeks back on May 16th (Teacher's Day & Wang Lee Hom's birthday :-P)

So I decided to get them cake at Brotzeit and introduced the Mango Beer to them which I oh-so-love!!! Though many of my guy friends prefer man-lier drinks :-P

Vin See (Who lives in Singapore) tells me that Brotzeit in Singapore is really popular & always PACKED....apparently, you can hardly get seats there unless you make a reservation...See how lucky we Malaysians are?

Before my Australia trip, my dear friend Erica Ting invited me to join her for a food review at Brotzeit's new branch in Sunway Pyramid like I mentioned in my earlier paragraphs located right near the entrance (as per the pictures below) Hence, you'll definitely CANNOT miss the place :-D

I absolutely LOVE the food at Brotzeit and this time was my 2nd food review. Read my first Brotzeit food review here! :-) I was glad that this time around, I got to try a completely new set of dishes :-)

As a person who loves anything that has pork in it, THIS is the place to go!

I was 10 minutes late for the review, but when I was there, I was actually the 1st one there!!! O__O"

Starters

Salat mit Schafskäse/ Feta Salad.
Mixed salad with feta cheese, red bell peppers, semi-dried tomatoes, onions, olives, garlic, croutons and sour cream.
Regular: RM38
Small: RM23

Other than pork, I'm pretty bias when it comes to food with ingredients like cheese, eggs & milk!!! I LOVE IT!!! That's where I often get my happy fat from T__T

The Feta salad was super cheesy. Though not a very good choice for someone who is dieting but I just love how colorful this dish with the salad combined with the richness of its cheese & sour cream.

Brotzeitflade Spinat / Spinach Pizza RM30
Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, vine ripened tomatoes, baby spinach, onions, garlic and button mushrooms.

The pizza is another super cheesy item on their menu and what I love about it is it's thin-crust! :-D

Schupfnudeln/ Bavarian Potato Dumpling & Spinach RM32
Finger shaped potato dumplings served with fresh spinach, mushrooms, semi-dried tomatoes, German hard cheese shavings & balsamic glace.

The potato dumpling is a new item on their menu and it actually does not look like a dumpling at all.... more like a long-ish rice cake???

Bavarian Style Pork Ribs (Original/Honey)
Succulent pork ribs marinated with a our secret spices and roasted to perfection. Served with sauerkraut and potato salad. RM55(half) RM89(Full)

I AM SO HOOKED ON THIS DISH!!!!! Totally makes me wanna sing to the tune of Justin Bieber's Baby...BABI, BABI, BABI Ohhhh~~~

Tasted both the Honey and Original version and I LOVE the honey one :-D Sweet & super tender....too bad there wasn't enough for a 2nd & 3rd serving :-S

Hennessy V.S.O.P New Bottle Launch at Doubletree, Hilton

The Hennessy V.S.O.P New Bottle Launch was held in Doubletree Hilton...My first time there since the new hotel opened...:-)

Woke up that morning and decided on this black & red combination....I've had this side slitted skirt hanging in my cupboard for 2 years! (No joke!) and I haven't worn it once....so what better way to debut it than this Hennessy Exclusive event? :-D

Somehow, the outfit ensemble plus styling ended up very Spanish Senorita inspired :-D


OLE!~ yupe! brought along my fan for that "dramatic effect"coz it was sitting in my drawer for too long! It's amazing what I can find in my room :-D

But then again, standing in the middle amongst my Beautiful Malaysia's Hottest Blogger girlfriends, I did look like their MAMA-SAN too :-D

and I love it!!! The mama-sans always has that glamourous OTT (over the top) personality & clothes right? XD

After some cocktails & finger food, we were ushered inside into the stage area...which had a WHITE setting

The angel & the devil...sings "You're so hypnotising! could u be the devil, could you be an angel?"

Will Quah came up on stage to break the ice a little and introduced Chris Bangle up on stage. Chris Bangle explained to us how the design of the new Hennessy V.S.O.P bottle came about. Will Quah joked that we wouldn't want to challenge a legendary designer like Chris on "Draw Something"...LOL!

FYI my dear friends, Chris Bangle is an American automobile designer known for his daring design and far-reaching influence. Bangle is known best for his work as Chief of Design for BMW group where he was responsible for the BMW, MINIand Rolls-Royce motor cars from 1992 to 2006.

He became the first American chief of design of BMW on October 1, 1992, where he designed the Z9 Gran Turismo concept car.Chris Bangle is also the creator of the emblematic M6, Z4 and the famous GINA Visionary Model concept car, his last project in the world of automobile design before leaving the car industry altogether to focus on his own design-related endeavours under his own firm called Chris Bangle Associates based in Turin, Italy.

The Hennessy V.S.O.P new carafe is his first masterpiece outside the automobile industry. For him, a product cannot be summed up by a function or an aesthetic: a product is living thing.

Apparently, the "real" party was at another area and we all then excitedly scurried to the "party" area which this time had a BLACK/DARK setting :-D

Once inside, the Malaysia's Hottest Blogger girls and I had the opportunity to try out their 360 degree Camera!!! Super EXCITEDDDDDD!!!

And because we were sooo ~~GREEDY~~ EXCITED we took not 1 but 2 video/picture of ourselves....

[REVIEW] Body Express Gym: Part 5

I've heard A LOT of these classes when I started going to gyms at 18....the first question I asked my gym instructor then was......

"Which exercise can loose weight FAST FAST????!!!!"

"Indoor Cycling a.k.a Spinning Classes lor!" he replied

Spinning is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a stationary bicycle.During the class you vary your pace, pedaling as fast as you can, other times cranking up the tension and pedaling slowly from a standing position. This helps you to focus and work on your mind as well as your body.

Spinning classes can help a person burn between 400-500 kcal in 40 minutes!!! That is equivalent to:-

A Premium Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich MEAL!!!

But minus the fries la and replacing it with a Side Salad with Low Fat Balsamic Vinaigrette, and a Medium Iced Tea....I don't think we can get this in Malaysia's Mcdonalds but you can re-create your own meal I guess! :-)

Indoor cycling also strengthens the muscles of the lower body. It tones the quadriceps and hamstrings, along with working the back and hips. It can be difficult to stay at the moderate level in a class that is geared towards more intensity.

Australia trip Part 2: Melbourne City Tour (Vietnamese Food, Shopping & Emerging Melbourne Event)

These past few days I was thinking to myself "I'm at such an AWESOME stage in life now" :-) Everything is running smoothly....Despite me not being a Bilionaire yet....I'm extremely Happy on the inside....and I realised that....Life has ALWAYS been good to me, no major challenges or dramas just small hurdles from god which was necessary to make me the strong person I am today :-)

A lot of plans in the pipeline for me this year!!! Hopefully it'll turn out good :-) Thank you guiding angels who came into my life and made it better :-)

Breakfast was at Hao Pong in Footscray. Though by car it's only a 10-15 minutes drive we took a long tram ride there as the tram follows the "scenic" route.

Beef Ball & Meat Pho....super bland :-(

Rice Paper Spring Roll....or is it Paper Rice Spring Roll? :-S

Vietnamese Coffee...you can choose whether you would like the white or black version :-)

Though I was eager to try out the Vietnamese food in Melbourne, the food served at Hao Pong wasn't up to my expectation-AT ALL...utterly dissapointed :-( We were deciding between Hao Pong and a shop with green-ish decor 2 doors away. We found out later that we made the wrong choice as the latter shop was more popular :-( Oh wells~~~

While I was in Footscray, it didn't feel like Melbourne at all!!! It looks like the pictures I've seen of Vietnam cities but with more English signboards :-)

We then took the train to the Factory Outlet, DFO :-)

We stopped by for a bit at a dessert place called Easyway in DFO :-D Easyway was my FAVOURITE bubble tea place when I was living in Auckland :-) Though of course, it's not on par with Chatime's pearl & Gong Cha's Signature Milk Tea :-)

Though I walked around and inside most shops, I only ended up with 3 black pairs of ALDO heels which was sooooooo affordable....Imagine the price of 3 pairs is equivalent to 1 pair in Malaysia....MADNESS!!!

Had to rush home after that to get ready for an Event where my dearest Fashion Blogger friend, Calvin manage to get an invite for me :-) Love You Long Time!!!

Calvin & I

Eventhough I often get invites for Fashion Events back home in Malaysia, I'm not very knowledgeable about Fashion neither someone who know of branded stuff....Oh YES! I love love love dressing up but most of the time, I'm a BARGAIN hunter....

The fact is, I use to date someone who was extremely brand conscious and he knew more about the latest designer fashion, bags, accessories and makeup compared to me... I felt like a man...:-S

I only know whether it's Nice or Not Nice and whether a particular outfit is suitable for my body type :-)

My style is often quirky but inexpensive and the most important part is that it must be DRAMATIC and THEATRICAL :-D Not at Lady Gaga's level yet though I totally don't mind dressing up like her for performances :-)

I'm extremely happy that my looks and pesona fits my taste of fashion....I would just wake up one day and decide to be an Indian Princess, Thai Traditional Dancer, Spanish Senorita or even a Diva in a fur coat and most of the time, manage to pull it off! :-) Like they say in Arabic "Alhamdulilah" :-)

My furry leg warmers which my mum bought from Taiwan :-) not suitable for our Malaysian weather though :-(

Calvin also gave me a new pair of false eyelashes (which he got from an event and he obviously wouldn't be wearing) which has a strip of glitter on its comb........I ABSOLUTELY LOVE stylish friends who can dress me & share clothing items with XD

My FIRST overseas blogger event :-) Phewittt!!! I'm super proud to announce that the other Australian bloggers said that my English is "Really Good!" :-D

Considering I'm a product of our Malaysian Public Education system, I would like to say don't despair my fellow Malaysians...there's hope! :-P

Went home early after the event as Calvin had work and I had to wake up early the next day for a tour trip which I signed up for with a tour company (which I would recommend in my next post) :-)

Been meeting & bumping to a lot of my old friends lately, YES! I have A LOT OF FRIENDS considering the amount of activities I actually have since my high school days, it's no surprise!

The problem with having too many friends is that its sometimes sooo difficult to keep in touch with all of them considering everyone is busy (including me!) going through different phases of life (studies, work, marriage, having babies)....However, it's absolutely GREAT when I actually get to sit down and chat with them to catch up with things sometimes...

Friend A: Eh?!!! You not in Taiwan meh???

Me: I went to Taiwan, then was in New Zealand for awhile and I just came back from Australia :-)

Friend B: Eh?!!! You not in Taiwan meh???

Me: Hahahahah!!! A just asked me the same thing.... I went to Taiwan, then was in New Zealand for awhile and I just came back from Australia :-)

Many things can happen within 2-3 years....I may one day decide to be a singer and the next day take up a working holiday position is the US...

AM I INDECISIVE??? That's a very pessimistic way of looking at it....But we Aquariuses are forever the Optimist....we call it "EXPLORING OPPORTUNITIES" :-)

Went on a trip to Australia exactly ONE month ago and my first destination was MELBOURNE!!!

A peace offering for my friend who'd be hosting me!!!

Cigarettes are super expensive in Australia and "students" in Australia usually buy their own Tobacco & Paper to roll their own ciggarette...coz it's cheaper that way...

My friend's housemate wanted to go to 7 eleven to get "paper" and I asked him what "Newspaper" he reads....lol!!! I'm forever sooo innocent & naive (blek!) and I thought he wanted to get Newspaper to do research/assignment of some sort...*slaps forehead*

Thai Green Curry was slightly spicy though they initially assure me that "It was not spicy at all" and Bluffed that they only had Thai curry available...I saw the air stewardess serving Nasi Lemak to other passengers much later...and that customer did not pre-order it!!! hmmppphhh!!! On the plane ride to Melbourne, I was seated next to a spunky Capricorn german girl & super talkative Gemini 18 year old small boy... YES!!! I already figured out he's an air sign considering how curious and chatty he is! We had 7 hours worth of plane ride and one of our topic was horoscopes...how typical of me! :-)

No picture of them though coz I was stopped at the Melbourne customs....cannot take picture in the airport...KANASAI! super duper strict wei....especially if they see you arriving alone...but just as long as you speak good English (like me! lol!) and can explain what are your intentions being there travel, etc...they'll let u off!

Calvin picked me up at the airport and the first thing I noticed was his awesome looking purple jacket...:-)

One of the first few things Calvin mentioned was "Wah! your English sounds different edi huh? Not so Manglish!"

Still VERY Manglish ler with Malaysians la of course....Just not with Ang Mohs :-)

His apartment is located at the border of Kensington...super new and nice looking apartment building...in Newmarket to be exact! Ironically, when I was working in New Zealand, my office in Auckland was also located in a place called Newmarket...

Woke up early the next day and started our city tour with a TRAM RIDE!!! Super excited actually coz the first and last time I've ever boarded a public tram was in Hong Kong in 2008.

Calvin taught me how to use the machine to buy tickets though later I went on to buy a Myki card (a public transportation card with cash value inside)

Arrived Victoria Market and we headed for breakfast at Muletta's....was super hungry so we had to fuel up first before we start walking

Calvin had scrambled eggs, hash browns, wedges while I had their Berry Pancake which the waitress recommended!!! It was YUMMMMMMMSSSSS!!!

Unlike those generic pancake brands where u can find in the supermarket or the just-add-water kind, this baby was fluffy and has a rich milky flavour....Best PANCAKE I've ever tasted in my life!!! Though I've heard that Stokers in Melbourne is awesome too....too far though...

Couldn't finish mine though as I was stuffed :-(

Walked around for a bit at Victoria Market and this place is SO CLEANNNNN!!!!! I can just imagine pushing a pram and shopping for groceries in this wonderful ambience and weather! *Bliss*

Fruits & Vegetables are extremely cheap too!!! Both dollar to dollar with the Malaysian Ringgit currency and even after conversion!!! Meat items are EXTREMELY cheap too when it's nearing closing hours....the vendors will start "lelong-ing" their goods #likeaboss! You can hear their voices sayng "10 dollar 1kg" from a mile away....super good voice projection :-S

Loads of souvenirs, arts & craft and also clothing items are sold in the market too! (though it's another section)

We then headed to RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology), Calvin's alma mater to look see look see for a bit...

A new RMIT building was in the midst of being built...

To go or not to go...that was the question....

After the RMIT tour, we proceeded to the State Library...

WHAAAATTTTTT??? How come so beautiful & majestic?????? How to study like that?????

They even have a playroom for kids with PlayStation 3, Desktop iMac, etc....no wonder taxes are so high :-S

According to Calvin, the Melbourne central is a common meet up place....people would usually say "Meet me under the Big Clock"....kinda romantic too :-)

After all the walking around, we headed to Chatime as I wanted to taste the Durian Milk Tea that my friends were sharing on Facebook a few weeks before my trip (not available in Malaysia...oh the irony...)

Btw, it sucks!!! super bland...:-(

As we were walking towards Chinatown, we saw a group of bridesmaid, bridegrooms and the wedding couple themselves taking wedding pictures :-) No need to worry about walking around in your Wedding gown as Melbourne streets are sooo clean....unlike Malaysia, if I were to step on mud or chewing gum in my Jimmy Choos I'd probably cry 10 days 10 nights :-(

The bridegrooms were SO DAMN CUTEEEE!!! One of them even said hi to me, but unfortunately baby, I'd have to leave :-(

Melbourne city is famous for all the artistic wall graffiti-es which are tastefully done :-) Unlike Malaysia who somehow love more "vulgar" kind of art #MalaysiaBoleh!

After a full day of walking & burning calories, we headed to this quaint & quiet little alley for a drink at this cafe cum pastry/confectionery shop....Imagine it being Malaysia....we would've gotten robbed eating at a mamak in an alley T__T

Met up with Adrian (Calvin's housemate) after his class and we had tea & coffee....

After the sky has gotten dark, we then headed towards Southbank & Flinders Street station

Hanged out for a bit at Federation Square, Melbourne's equivalent to Malaysia's Dataran Merdeka....the boys waited for me while I was being all touristy and taking pictures :-)

Was a bit hungry so I had some "Wicked Wings" which Calvin recommended...It was AWESOME!!! Had that Hot & Spicy crunch without that overpowering spiciness (I hate spicy food!)....See that 2 red KFC packet??? I thought it was tomato sauce but it was actually wet wipes...FML!!!!! Malu.com...Thank god I was squeezing it in front of my fellow Malaysians...As I'm sure they've had their fair share of malu-ness in a foreign country....FYI,We are suppose to "purchase" our sauces...Not free ok!!!

After walking all day doing and seeing tourist stuff, it was time to "blend in" with the locals....

Trivia night is at 9pm EVERY THURSDAY...this is the boy's Weekly event that they would NEVER miss unless it's assignment or exam week...

They love it coz it gives them a mental challenge (and heightened egos) and also free beers when you win their challenges of the night and also when u are ultimately the winning group of the night!

The boys meaning Calvin, Adrian, Morgan & Morgan's friends Ian and another Ian...lol!

Men at work...Do not disturb!!!I somehow find that Ian looks a bit like Finn from Glee......

With most of the boys being "students" they make do with cheap (in their own words) beer like Carltons....I'm sorry but it was unbearable....Thank you Adrian for saving me with this bottle of Smirnoff :-D

And this my dears, is the end of only the FIRST out of TEN part of my Australia trip....so have patience ok??? :-)

Especially in our hot & humid climate, if a guy reeks of his sweaty smelly body odour upon our first meet....that will be the first and last time you'll ever be meeting Sarah May Low....also if you have BAD taste in food and you are a MALAYSIAN....even more unforgivable!!!!!!!

Find a man that ruins your Lipstick not your Mascara

A person's scent is something that I find very personal...Like his or her identity yet I find it sexy and intimate...

Strangely, guys who likes me love buying perfumes for me and even more strangely, is that they are always SPOT ON in their choice of perfume for me!!! I'm pretty hard to please as I always like something different yet it must suit my personality....I think that's already a CLUE for them! Hahahah!!!

My perfume scents are usually flowery yet sexy, classy but not old, girly and confident and also must have that fun dramatic element in it! Told you I'm hard to please :-)

But the same perfume can smell different on different people like how the same lipstick can look different on different women lips!!! This is because the perfume blends in with your natural body odour hence creating something called "Pheromone" which makes all men go crazy *evil smile*

About a month ago I had lunch with a guy friend just to catch up and talk about his new business venture.

Friend: You no boyfriend meh?

Me: No wor. haven't met the right one yet :-)

Friend: You lah! set the benchmark so high! somemore always sooo busy wanna date you need to book 2-3 months in advance!

Me: Hahahahahah!!! Where got wor~~~

Friend: Want to study Masters la, then become superstar la, then business women plus media personality la....

Me: Good mah! Then the guy who eventually marries me will be the proudest guy on earth :-) He'll marry someone with passion and a mind of her own and his kids will always be proud of their mummy!

Over time, I will not stop setting my benchmark even higher because unlike many other girls who only have their beauty to offer (which depreciates over time), I pay importance in improving my knowledge, talents and business skills (which appreciates over time) :-)

Many men will make do with whichever pretty little thing they get AT THE MOMENT, but ultimately, with men being hunters, they would always want the Prized Catch :-)

So, What does my ultimate Champion sounds like?

I find myself attracted to Western educated Asian & Pan Asian guys (not attracted to full blooded ang moh...dunno why...probably coz they'll end up balding :-P)

I also dig guys who has some form of talent-Music, Cooking, Sports....

I pay a lot of attention on a person's intelligence, communication skills, confidence and MOST importantly, Moral Character!

Physical aspect is only secondary though it could be a bonus :-)

Kissaten is a place I love going to and also brings a bit of nostalgia to me :-)

I often go to their IOI Boulevard branch in Puchong as it is conveniently located near where I live....

I had my FIRST taste of the popular Pork Burger was when they had a stall at Hutong in Lot 10!!!!

It was absolutely FOODGASMIC and I was hooked!!! Especially because I was going through a pork-burger-hunting phase of my life then... :-)

Because I love the food there sooo much! I even organized a Birthday Party at their Jaya One branch for a friend last year.

What I absolutely LOVE about Kissaten is that it caters to the Malaysian palate (that's why it's fusion Japanese) yet it still retains the Japanese taste and identity in it's food :-)

The time around, I got to savour my favourite dishes and also some NEW dishes which I haven't tried before and is new on the menu :-)

Buta Yasai RM 32.90

Love this sukiyaki-style dish....Meat & vegetable dish! Felt extremely healthy eating it :-) According to the owner, the clay pot used to cook this dish has a special design which orginated from turkey :-)

Teriyaki Chic Onsen Tamago RM 23.90

Another of my favorite dish! It may look plain in the picture but let me assure you it's super tasty!!! I can't really tell what was part of the ingredients but it had a rich mayonnaise taste coupled with it's teriyaki sauce....Yum yum yum!!!

Tomato Cheeseburger RM19.90

This pork pattie is exactly the same one they use for their Famous Pork Burger...Just a different style of cooking it....with Tomato Puree, Broccoli & Melted Cheese on top...still prefer the pork burger though :-)

Teppan Mushroom Burger Steak RM18.90

Just like an American steak meal you would find in a Western Restaurant but on a hot plate and served with a thick piece of Steak Burger instead :-)

Tsukune Teriyaki with Egg Yolk RM 8.90

A favourite dish of Tim & I!!! One would need to break the egg yolk and use it as sauce to dip the Tsukune (a pork teriyaki sausage)

Hello everybody!!! Sorry for my 2 1/2 week long hiatus but I was busy saving koala bears and swimming with dolphins (I wish!) in a faraway land called Australia:-D

Before I continue on my 4th installment of experience at BodyExpress gym, I would like to share with you a SUPER DUPER motivating song I heard at gym...It has amazing easy to memorize lyrics too! Enjoy!

Okay, let's move on to something more Zen & Peaceful...

I absolutely love yoga! I've been going for yoga lessons since 2006. So it's been 6 years already!

Prior to taking yoga lessons, like everyone else, I had my share of underestimating the "power" of yoga...

Really that good meh?

Like damn easy only?

Can loose weight meh?

Can tone up meh?

All my doubts were answered....the first lesson itself was a CHALLENGE & I was sweating BUCKETS!

Some of the poses are reasonably easy but the hard part is not the poses but HOLDING the pose for 1-2 minutes......your muscles will yell GG.COM!!!

After 3 long years, I'm gonna REVEAL to you how I lost 5kgs in 1 month to participate in Miss World Malaysia 2009

Yoga, Cardio, Sauna + Steam Bath and of course (a no-brainer) DIET!!!

and of course loads of determination, hard work & kiasu-ness (To NOT lose to other contestants :-P)

There is a wide variety of yoga classes at BodyExpress gym to cater for everyone :-)

Gentle yoga, Flow yoga, Hatha yoga, Power yoga and Happ Yoga which is also known as Happy Yoga

Where you get laugh at your won self, your instructor and your classmates during class...lol!!!

Once a month you can even bring your pet along for pet yoga...LOLOLOL!!! Just Joking!!!!! I just couldn't resist this picture I found on the internet!!! So cute & funny!!!

Personally, I love the Power Yoga class because it is more advance and I actually sweat!!!

Psychologically, I feel guilty when I don't sweat during a workout it's like I didn't work out at all!!!

I kinda feel stalker-ish taking pictures from this angle...but I was kinda multi-tasking...doing yoga + taking pictures #likeaboss!

In my 6 years of learning yoga, sometimes, I am super "malu" when women much older than me are much more flexible & stronger than I am :-P

I'm pretty bad at balancing and previously there were many poses that I wasn't allowed to do as I had high-blood pressure...Thanks to work =__="

That is where the instructors come into play....they will give you variations of the poses...

In yoga, it's not like other sports of exercises...you do NOT force yourself but do what your body can and one will eventually be more flexible & stronger after practicing a pose over and over again...

What really impress me is Harry, one of the yoga instructor & the owner of BodyExpress...

OMGWTFBBQ!!! O__O"

I suspect Harry probably has a background in gymnastics or something along that lines....He has the body of a bodybuilder but flexibility of a gymnast...The best of both worlds! AMAZING!!!

Reminds me of a time when I was going out with a bodybuilding/personal trainer guy....really impressive when he was carrying weights but such a clown when I try to teach him yoga....Imagine the leaning tower of Pisa while doing the "Tree position"....!!! lol!!! Great guy nevertheless :-)

Here's a video of the chanting/meditation session after class which helps to clear your mind and relax after a super busy day at work...Ohmmmm.....

Snip N Style Hair Saloon & STYLO Fashion Event

My super dull "black" two toned hair needed a MAJOR "TLC" (tender loving care) session as the last time I actually did anything to my hair was in August 2011.

Back in New Zealand, I dyed my hair back to dark brown as at that time I thought that I won't be coming back to Malaysia :-S but plans changed and I missed having some color in my hair....

I headed to Snip N Style Saloon at Kota Damansara for a hair makeover one sunny Sunday afternoon

This Saloon is not only a hair saloon but also doubles up as a boutique :-)

Extremely handy especially when u are in a rush to go to some event, get your hair done there and also a new dress and TA DA! all ready to party :-)

I snipped off at least 4 inches of my hair as my ends my crazily dry and damaged till the point of "no return" :-( Hence, I didn't want to live in the "my hair is healthy" illusion anymore and chopped those nasty split ends all off....

I was pretty sad as I had initially wanted to grow my mermaid long hair again....6 years back, my har was butt length!!!

No makeup face :-P

Also decided to even out my 2 toned hair by dyeing it a dark brownish red color :-)

Maybelle is an Australian trained hair stylist and was previously a lecturer at LimKokWing University...was really greatful on her insights and advice on how to improve the condition of my hair, afterall, the Hair is a woman's crowning glory right? :-)

It's been 3 weeks since my hair makeover and the color has becomed much much lighter now though it looks pretty dark in the pictures above...hair dyes becomes lighter after everyone was as some super bright colors like red/pink fades away after several wash...

I can't help but notice during the finalist catwalk that, all of the chinese models have super "chinky" oriental features...I totally understand that Ang Moh finds it extremely beautiful but it is sooo UNFAIR for people who have mixed features like me :-( Talent agencies dunwan to cast us, That's why we are all jobless~~~ lolx!

A big Congratulations to19-year-old Loh Tze Shian walking away with a cash prize of RM60,000 from F&F, Tesco’s exclusive brand, and a Roberge watch by Mouawad.

Penang-born Loh would also be opening the show for Stylo’s award-winning designers at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Mexico this September.

Super young and pretty Garden International School student Mira Bouwmeester, 14, also created a stir when she was announced as the first runner-up in the contest which was open to males and non-Malaysians living in Malaysia aged 14 and above for the first time.The 178cm girl of Dutch and Malaysian-Sri Lankan descent won RM50,000.

Muay Thai a.k.a Thai Kickboxing

My infamous "kill people" face :-P now with my kick boxing skills you better think twice about pissing me off :-p

The instructor, Lee, is actually someone I've met 4-5 years back while I was taking gymnastic lessons at this gymnastics gym at Sunway...

So damn obvious that I'm not a trained kick boxer...look at the pageant pose :-S

I remembered Lee coz he was one of the first few person who read my fortune...lol! He was right about the stubborn and "cannot-save-money" personality part T__T but about predicting the "future husband characteristics" part.....I cannot tell you whether it's true yet...we'll see :-p

Oh Johnnie, so we meet again :-) My last year's 2011 Johnnie Walker experience Part 1 & Part 2

This year, the "by-invitation only" Johnnie Walker Black Circuit party had a more exclusive & sophisticated crowd.

Again, I brought my brother Christopher as we lived in the same house 10 minutes drive from the event's location in Putrajaya...so might as well :-P

I find that many events this year are being held at my SIDE OF THE WORLD.....which is the god forsaken side of the world....For example, Future Music Festival, Johnnie Walker Black Circuit, F1 Race (duh!) & Zouk @Sepang....I am TERRIBLY happy coz it's so near to my place....!!! So u guys better appreciate HOW FAR I have to drive on a daily basis to PJ/Damansara/KL....Love me more ok???!!!

My girlfriends are all so crazy about him....but I find that he looks just like "another" ang moh I see so often in New Zealand :-S

He often participates in media interviews and events, hosts mentored tastings and master classes and inspires whisky lovers around the world about the amazing history and heritage of the Johnnie Walker brand. The Pool Launch @ Nihonkan Club, Jalan Ampang

Was hanging out at the Pool for 3 NIGHTS in a week!!! The Pool hosted back to back events thanks to the F1 week.

The owners of The Hill recently, opened a new branch in Jalan Ampang which has a POOL! Hence the name and also I find the ambiance more classier and no climbing up flight of stairs in my 5-inch heels!!! :-P

Us girls had NO PLACE to sit during the fashion show so we decided to cam-whore!!! The organisers did EVERYTHING right (setting, tasty popcorns, etc) but ONE huge blunder ruin majority of the guest mood...they OVER-INVITED!!!! not by a few people but at least 200 hundred people!!!!!!!!!!!!

The band that they invited was good I have to say....BUT!!! the show took too long to start!!! Pity those who had to stand throughout the show!!! and ultimately HAD to write about their stupid blunder...

Gleefully eye-ing GODIVA chocolates...yum yum!!!

This Taste of Euphoria event offers food/drink items that would often leave people in "euphoria"...Hence, the wide array of Chocolates, Wine, Beer & Ice-Cream available....though I believe that should be a cheese + wine pairing too :-P

Unlimited supply of Chocolate Milk!!! That's how I got my strong bones XD

The Beautiful Courtyard which I find extremely suitable for Garden style weddings :-)

Patrons at the event were also serenaded with a live performance from a singer singing Michael Buble style songs...well suited for this classy event :-)


Also had the opportunity to try out this new South African beer called Savanna!!! I usually don't fancy beer but I love this!!! It has a sweet after taste :-)

It was a really good Saturday afternoon as I got to hang out with my girl friends and also our manager Tim Chew :-) Sooo much laughing and teasing each other :-P

When you are someone who's always been serious about life and planning planning planning, people will not believe you when you say that you weren't really serious about life for the past 1 year...

The truth is...I was on a loooong 1-year holiday.... I went back to doing Musicals, took a working holiday to New Zealand, traveled New Zealand, met MANY amazing friends, had a once-in-a-lifetime chance of being part of the RUGBY WORLD CUP 2012, watched Dame Kiri Te Kanawa & Hayley Westenra LIVE...both BLEW my breath away, worked in a western environment with gwai lohs/ang moh and people from different nationalities, became a nanny/live-in aupair for the first time of my life and even when I am back here in Malaysia, I've received LOTS OF LOVE from Malaysia's Hottest Blogger which allowed me to attend many prestigious events and BESTEST part of all....met many new friends and hot, fun GIRL FRIENDS :-)

Aren't I a lucky lucky lucky girl???

I absolutely LOVE feeling young again, having lunches with my girlfriends, chit-chatting, talking about boys, office politics, going for beauty treatments together, blasting awesome MADONNA songs on the car radio and dancing while driving (not recommended) to the tune...

Life is AMAZING!!! I really don't want it to end, I don't want to grow up, I don't want to face the realities of being an adult though I've been an adult for a few years already...

For the past year, I really wasn't focusing that much and was living day-by-day, taking whatever that comes :-) What I just wanted to do was have NEW experiences, try new stuff, meet new people and I'm proud to say...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! XD

I think I'm a bit of an ESCAPIST, I actually love running away from problems...but the fact is problems will never ever be solved that way...It will be swept under the carpet but DEEP DOWN inside, you know that you are lying to yourself as the dust is still hidden under there...

The truth is, I have scars which never went away but is healing...I thought I could cover it by doing many different stuff but it's still there.......however, I'm happy to say that I'm at a better position now...:-)

Soprano Laser Treatment Review at Face Factors Clinic, Solaris Dutamas

Two weeks ago, I was invited to try out a form of laser treatment called the Soprano Laser Hair Removal at Face Factors Clinic in Solaris Dutamas (Located just the next building behind Publika).

This was my first time trying out a form of laser treatment. I had previously inquired at other clinics about laser treatment for my face as I have scars and minor pitholes "thanks" to my youthful hormone raging days...

As for hair removal, I have had mixed feelings about these forms of treatments as a friend of mine, who is a Malaysian celebrity, once had IPL (Intense Pulse Light) done while she was in her early stages of pregnancy (she didn't know she was pregnant then) and she had a miscarriage after one of her regular IPL sessions O__O! I cannot confirm whether it was due to IPL as I do not have much knowledge compared to a trained Dermatologist.

However, The same friend also told me that IPL DO stings!!!

One of the product that is available at Face Factor which "I think" is similar to the famous Lip Venom which I have heard off while taking makeup classes 5 years back...

I arrived at Face Factor Clinic one sunny afternoon and met 2 other bloggers Michelle, a talented Fashion Designer (who is a new member of MHB! Yay!) and also Jasiminne who has this bigger than life personality which I admire.

Jasiminne has had previous experience in treatments like this but for Michelle and I, we were nervous as hell!!!......eventhough I was "acting calm" as I did not want Michelle to feed off my emotions and get even more nervous.

The pretty Dr. Anjalee whom I bumped into at the Topshop Fashion Show a few days after this review...totally didn't recognised her at first as she looks super sassy and young a change from her daytime "professional" look :-)

Dr. Anjalee proceeded to explain the processes to us and she assured us that there was....

NO PAIN AT ALL!!!!

What a relieve!!!! Phewww!!! According to Dr. Anjalee, IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is very different from Soprano Laser Treatment.

First of all, IPL is NOT a form of laser hence, it reflects on your skin giving you that sharp stinging/zap-ing feeling during the treatment.

Soprano laser is one of the lasers produced using the technology by the reknown Alma lasers

As for the Soprano Laser Treatment, the laser beam actually penetrates through targeted hair follicles with gentle pulses while you stay comfortable.

Because of the patented IN-Motion technology of Pain-Free, Hair-Free, one would be able to treat sensitive areas like face, neck, legs, arms, bikini line, back and stomach without the discomfort of other systems....

Us girls were ushered into the treatment room to get changed...

I volunteered to go first,

Personally, I'm not really a "hairy" kind of person (Thank god!) but I do have stubbles of underarm hair which makes me really self-conscious especially when I am a person who goes dancing,yoga and gym often. I always think to myself "Aiyak! Have I shaved today???" before I proceed to

The beautician first shaved off the stubbles on my underarms...

(18 SX)I'm sexy and I know it! :-P

As I went first, Jasiminne and Michelle were helping me take pictures of the procedure (Thank you babes!) and they said "Strike a sexy Baywatch post!" hence, the picture above hahahahah!! Such funny girls :-)

The beautician switched on the machine to "warm it up" first before she applied a Cold and Clear Gel on my Underarms...

The beauty of this machine is that the settings is all FIXED...thus, the beautician would only require to press the screen for the required laser area (i.e underarms, legs, bikini line, etc,,)

The client is also required to wear a Futuristic looking eye gear to protect them from the ultra-violet rays...

Zap zap zap!!!

According to Dr. Anjalee, depending on how "hairy" a person is, one would required between 4-6 treatments (4 weeks in between treatments) to see the permanent hair-removal result.

VERDICT: During the treatment, there was indeed NO PAIN at all! however, I did feel some pressure while the instrument was used constantly in motion on my underarm...It is like what it has been describe in their brochures, feels like having a "hot-stone" treatment...The BEST part was, it only took 5 minutes on each side! SUPER DUPER fast!!!It's been 2 weeks since the Soprano Laser Hair Removal treatment and I feel that I have less underarms hair growth. The underarm hair is also finer and my underarms are actually fairer! All these with only ONE treatment! Definitely a highly recommended treatment!

7 Things I Can Never Get Sick Of.....

Was tagged a few days back by my fellow MHB member Yukiko Tan last night on this topic "7 Things I can Never Get Sick Of"

Here are my 7 Things, But I guess most of it are quite predictable especially if you're my friend or have been following my blog :-)

1. Romance Movies
One of my favorite activities is to watch super-sad romance flicks and bawl my eyes out! Please don't mistake it for stupid cheesy Rom-Coms which Jennifer Aniston is always part off....I'm more of a ~~SADIST~~ Escapist, I prefer unpredictable storylines and endings where ~~SOMEONE DIES~~ the couple in love becomes each other's the one that got away and eventhough they can never be together, their love for each other LIVES ON.....

Think Butterfly Lovers, Romeo and Juliet....So sad hor???? Though I remember back in New Zealand, after explaining the story about Romeo & Juliet to my 8-year-old cousin, she then said "Why people so CRAZY??? (Killing themselves) They could have just gotten a new boyfriend or girlfriend!"....Yes....my 8-year old cousin is wayyyyy more mature than I am >__<" I guess I'll always have that inner Taylor Swift in me :-)

Personally, I think the Notebook was overrated (coz I didn't cry!) but a really cute guy searched and bought the DVD for me to watch so that movie has a special place in my heart :-) Also watched Dear John, Last Song, City of Angels, etc......BUT
My personal favorites are:-

I guess I can only cry if in the movie, the GUY dies~~~lolx!!! and I can only cry if I've seen Act of Love and Kindness from a guy :-)

I love crying, it's a stress-relieving hobby for me but not many people are "FORTUNATE" enough to see me cry, in fact out of my 5 best girl friends, only 2 have seen me cry...that is how secretive I am :-P

Not all crying is bad...Crying is good when you've tried to be strong for too long....

Btw, I use to read romance novels too, but it takes up to much of my time, hence, I only read motivational books to nurture my emotional self~~~

2. Astrology/Feng Shui
I feel that I'm a bit "hypocritical" on this one, 10-12 years back when my mum started reading Feng Shui books and started collecting Lillian Too "stuff", I told her "Mummy don't believe la...all this cheat money one..."

I still believe that Lilian Too cheat money coz the items that she sells in World of Feng Shui is OVERPRICED!!! >:( I can get it for much cheaper at Sungei Wang, Penang or in Temples...

Anyways, from a "business" point of view, I guess it is a good time to pursue Feng Shui studies and make a living out of it since Lilian Too is quite old and she's like retiring edi and Joey Yap I heard a lot of people don't like him coz he is super lansi :-P

So far, I've taken western astrology classes from Carol Squires, a reknown Astrologer in New Zealand...you can read my Astrology post here :-)

3. Singing, Dancing, Music & Performing
This-needs-no-explanation...I sing ALL THE TIME!!! I sing when I'm sad, happy, angry, stressed out, Before I go to bed, when I'm driving, when I'm taking bath, when I am shopping, when I'm scolding someone (yes! I would break into a song-GLEE style :-D), when I'm tipsy.....people who constantly hear me sing and have the luxury of listening to me sing for free DO NOT APPRECIATE IT!!! and when I do not see them for months, they'll start miss me and my singing (such assholes!) But that is the kind of Charm/Effect my singing has on people :-D tee hee~~

I not only like to sing, I FREAKING GOOD AT IT OK!!! :-P

Music on the other hand, are things I add on to my blog post to "further" describe my feelings at that particular moment....I guess, there's always a song to describe an aspect of life which we are going through :-)

Dancing also no need explain la...you see my header picture also you will know...

I'm ballet trained since 4-years-old, my mummy used her OT (overtime) money at work to pay for my classes coz we weren't that well-to-do, for that, I am FOREVER grateful and indebted to her

4. LAUGHING!!! HAHAHAH!!!
Contrary to popular believe, I'm not that much of a emo-freak also ok!!! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE laughing!!!

I can marathon for a few days like crazy on shows like Saturday Night Live & Big Bang Theory!!!

I LOVE SHELDON!!! Smart guys are sexy!!!

I also regularly attend stand up comedy shows all around town...I personally prefer our local comedians as I "get" their jokes, whereas, foreign acts often talk about issues and politics from their own country of origin (canada, UK, US)

Plus, I am attracted by funny guys, not slapstick, insensitive, goofy kind of funny (Aries guys) but Genius-like Intellectual banters (think Big Bang Theory) :-)

5. Dressing up
Thanks to having plenty of glam events to attend often and also my part-time job as a performer, I get to dress up really often and wear funky, crazy, outrageous outfits and wigs which I liken to channeling my inner "Sasha Fierce" :-)

6. Traveling
I loveeeee traveling, my parents have no money, neither do I have a rich sugar daddy....all my travels are paid by my own pocket working hard through my blood, sweat and tears...

This is actually a round-up of the activities above....how I've led my life for the past 6 years since completing high school is incredible! I really can't believe I've done sooo much in such a short span of time :-)

Was the President of the Leo Club of Bukit Kiara & Went to the Leo Club's OSEAL forum in Hong Kong
Traveled A LOT!
Performed in Grand Lisboa, Macau with a Rock Band
Was a finalist in Miss World Malaysia 2009
Performed in many Corporate Performances
Worked full-time in 2 Advertising companies, A publishing firm and An event's security company
Was part of the Rugby World Cup 2012 team
Went Bungee Jumping & Sky-diving
Bought my own car
Experienced being a live-in nanny/aupair
Fell in love & Fell out of love

and I'm just not DONE yet...here's my bucket list :-)

The Hunger Games: Beauty Pageant in the movie world

Is it just me? or does anyone agree that The Hunger games is SUPER similar with the Beauty Pageant, Media, Entertainment & Reality TV industries???

Just watched it show last night and I super LOVED IT!!! However, in many ways, it felt soooo DEJAVU like something I once experienced!!!

I was like 1-2 minutes late and the movie has already started when I walked into the cinema.....Prior to this, I have NO IDEA what this movie is about, just read tweets & Facebook updates recommending this movie :-)

The moment which made me feel as if, hey, this feels sooo similar is when Katniss and her sister started the selection/audition process

With the "glamorous" looking mama-san/model agency owner/catwalk guru/ex-pageant queen

"Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, I am Sarah May Low, 24 years old, I love singing, dancing, Pina Coladas, kissing in the rain and long walks on the beach ~~not during winter please! tried it! CAN DIE!~~..."

Joining a beauty pageant or shows which requires "Looks", one needs STRATEGY

The FACT is, I will NEVER be the tallest or skinniest of them all.....but I always make sure that I emphasise my standout qualities, which are my:-

PERSONALITY. TALENTS-SINGING. DANCING. ACTING

I always get standing ovations after that :-) Don't tell anyone my secret....Shhhh!!!

Then of course, after being part of the "game" you'll get perks like:-

Traveling on a 6-STAR Bullet Train with Fine Dining everyday

getting to go for glamorous events, TV & Radio interviews.....for what purpose???

PUBLICITY!!!

and don't forget to wear your fiery & stand-out FIRE OUTFIT and twirl like you've never twirled before!!!!!Pageants & Reality TV shows are all about standing out, making people like you & garner-ing more votes :-D

I remember during Miss World Malaysia 2009, a contestant told all of the other contestants

3 years back, when I was 21 years old, I've never been clubbing, never had a boyfriend and NEVER drink alcohol as I develop alcohol rash when I drink....was probably the MOST INNOCENT 21-year-old you'll ever meet this LIFETIME!

At the last interview with the panel of judges, one of the judge asked me

Judge:"I watched the video, was it true that alcohol was found in your bag?"

Me:"Hahahahah!!! No la, the producers did it to boost ratings only....didn't you see me laughing? My mum also LOL-ed when she say that video"

Judge: "Then how would you think the PUBLIC would think of you?"

Me" Haiyah! Not scared la, It won't affect me as long as I'm true to myself and my family & friends know who I am, that's all that matters =)"

TRUE THAT!!! 3 years later, it still has never effected me, and I'm still my TRUE self....the MOST INNOCENT 24-year-old you'll EVER met THIS LIFETIME =D

Btw, I've overcame my alcohol rash!!!!!! I drank A LOT while I was in New Zealand and it's ALL GONE!!!!!!!! No. I'm not an alcoholic, I drank A LOT coz I moved there in the FREAKING middle of WINTER and I almost DIED from the cold due to my physical strength which was MADE for the tropical weather....

Back to the hunger games,

Being good-hearted, nice and caring towards other people helps with your Karma but from my experience, sometimes you would ask yourself after that "WHY THE HELL DID I BOTHER???"

I remembered being SUPER nice to this girl, ok, I WAS nice to everyone....but this particular girl, turned her back and FREAKING b*tched about me..... I found out much later that she was jealous and intimidated coz I had talemt.....she claims that she's a "good-christian girl" that goes to church every weekend and in her own words, "CANNOT sleep if I don't read the bible every night."

MCH!!! Rot in hell la b*tch!

You know what was the BESTEST part??????!!!!!!

Firstly, I kept on bumping her at clubs and I found out that she dates RICH GUYS and lets them F**K her for one-night stands!!!! a.k.a high class escort services~~~

Secondly, she went on to be part of this MALAYSIAN GIRL POP GROUP......and the whole group failed...all pretty but cannot sing, dance, act....do what wor??? Continue to SELL BACKSIDE la!!! BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!

The fact was, I lost the "Hunger Games" in 2009....was aiming for "Miss Talent" but they scraped the title that year due to not having sponsors for that title...T__T....FML!!!

....At 21-years-old I naively thought "If I try really really really hard, people will see it and I will do well :-)"

These 11 events were ONLY 70% of the events I've attended in March :-P

It's been 3 months since I came back from Baa Baa Land...and in many ways I HATE being back.....

I hate the stupid jam

I hate the high cost of living in KL

I hate tolls

I hate how crappy and pathetic employees are being paid in Malaysia

I hate how expensive properties in Malaysia are becoming

I hate how hot and humid Malaysia is, always making my makeup melt and curls becoming straight after a short while

I hate needing so many things in Malaysia that thus, increasing my spending

I hate that I'm in a career crossroads

I hate having to deal with the dramas back here

I hate not having my best girl friends with me

I hate seeing things/driving pass places that brings back sad memories to me

REALITY....is what I hate at the moment....

I shall reverse these negativity into positive things I have experience so far to balance my emotions right now

I Love meeting new friends

I Love attending loads of parties & events

I Love having my own car

I Love that the weather has helped me loose weight

I Love the good & cheap food here

I Love being with my family

Socially, my life has been FANTASTIC...and in many ways I am GRATEFUL for that...but personally, I really need some guidance right now....Gonna meet with a life coach to get my short-term, medium-term and long-term life goals in check....

I hate having QUARTER age CRISIS

Joe Brooks Trio was down in Kuala Lumpur last month and I had the chance to watch them live VIP style thanks to my darling sis Linora Low!

I had always love music, singing and performances but I hardly purchase tickets to go for concerts as I am always saving money...sometimes it really sucks having to depend on my own from a really young age, but saving helps me be debt-free and debt-free means having FINISHED paying my university fees ON MY OWN EFFORT!!! Good on you Sarah May Low!!!! *Pats Back*

ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATION @ CHANGKAT BUKIT BINTANG

St. Patrick's Day is an Irish celebration occurring on March 17 of every year, and is organized by Guinness for the past 2 years. Known as 'The friendliest day of the year", it's one of the most popular celebrations around the world, over 100 countries including Malaysia.

Us girls were stationed at Giovanni's a place famous for their fresh and tasty meat...is was GOOD!!! Very well-marinated and succulent...This meat platter cost about RM70

FUTURE MUSIC FESTIVAL ASIA @ SEPANG

Future Music Festival had it's debut Asia concert at the Sepang International Circuit. What's so cool about this music festival is that it is 12-hours long!!! Yup! That's right, you start partying from 2pm up to 2am in the morning!!!

Managed to get myself VIP tickets for this event. However, I decided to head down to Sepang in the evening as I don't like the sun and hate getting any tanner.

Met up with my friends, Yueh Hwei, Erica & Alex for dinner and introduced them to the infamous Puchong Yong Tao foo which is a stone-throw away from where I live.

After dinner, we headed down to Sepang...what I love about this part of the world is the non-existent traffic jam!!! While searching for a parking spot, we could already hear music pumping from the event area playing one of my favorite song "These dreams are made of these"~~~

There are actually 4 a.k.a F-O-U-R stages for that event!!! My friends and I kept trying to navigate around to the VIP tent and it was a SUPER long walked....

Though we found many friends at the VIP area, unfortunately, it was quite "suffocating" as people were smoking inside...selfish assholes! Just because they are VIPs don't expect them to be socially-educated!

We then headed outdoors to the stage areas as it was more "Happening" anyways...

What I LOVED about the event was the EQUAL mix of foreigners & locals there and also the games stations that was set-up by sponsors providing a more varied activities for the attendees...

What I hate about the event was that it was catered to "cut-throat" tourist as the prices of food and drinks there were crazily HIGH!

Unfortunately, I missed Flo Rida as I only went there after dinner and also missed Chemical Brothers (though they were not from my "era" :-P) as we headed home early to avoid the jam and road blocks later that night.

However, still a really good party which I think was SUPER SUCCESSFUL as 50,000 tickets were sold! Also my 1st rave-style party :-)

Haagen Daaz Girls Day Out @SOHO Dutamas

The Haagen Daaz Girls Day out event was held at SOHO Dutamas and the theme for the event was "Something Carrie Bradshaw would wear!"

It felt like going back to a Sweet 16th Birthday Party I never had!

After taking pictures, Valerie and I proceeded to the L'occitane booth which was set up in pink and also decorated with their new limited edition "Cherry Blossom" range...

Was treated to a luxurious hand massage by the therapist!

I absolutely LOVED my curls that day as I was going for the "Asian Carrie" look but unfortunately my hair lacked volume and I have since cut 4-5 inches of my locks :-(

After the hand massage, Rachel from Haagen Daaz welcomed us with a speech :-)

First up was Haagen Daaz's 3 tier High Tea set which consist of "balls" of ice-cream on top, macarons on the 2nd tier and fresh fruits on the 3rd tier...

The 2nd dish was Ice-Cream Macarons which is also available in the 3 tier set but I didn't mind being served a second round as the macarons were FANTASTIC! Though I had a mild case of Brain Freeze as I inserted the whole macaron into my mouth at one go!!! But then again, that IS how you DEVOUR a macaron as macarons are known for being "air-y, easy to break and crumb-ly"

The 3rd dish which was served is actually my favorite!!! It's called Haagen-Dazs Cookie Dough Chip Creation... There's a ball of cookie dough inside the ice-cream which is similar in taste with thick peanut butter.....the combination with the ice-cream and cookie just made me go....DAYUM!!! indescribable foodgasm delight!

Would highly recommend this place for theme parties for little girls, hen's parties and also not forgetting the upcoming MOTHER'S DAY!!!

When U scream, I scream and We scream for ICE-CREAM, bring them over to Haagen Daaz and try out their new creations!

This is what it feels like partying right under the Petronas Twin Tower=MAGNIFICENT!

I was SUPER DUPER upset when I found out that Kylie Minogue wasn't going to perform at the F1 Rocks concert due to a dispute with the concert organizer...Since my primary & high school days, I've always loved her hits like Locomotion & In your eyes...her catchy dance hits always makes me wanna do a crazy dance especially when I'm stressed...

But I became EXTREMELY happy when I found out that Nicole Scherzinger was performing there instead!!! Coz I love Nicole more than Kylie...lolx! Dun tell her ya? :-P

and also Girls Generation la...which everyone is sooo crazy about....dunno why....

We arrived at KLCC pretty early at around 5-ish as the roads were gonna be closed for the event....

We registered ourselves first as we had special Media passes :-D

We overheard some Girls Generation fans jealous-ly saying "why do they get to go in to the special area???!!!" :-P oops!!! Jangan marah ya??? No regrets being Malaysia's Hottest Blogger *starts diet-ing* lolx!

After some local artiste performances, Girls Generation or SNSD were up at 8.30pm....EVERYONE went crazy over them....which I am sooo puzzled why as I was there for Nicole....

My home girl Linora & Girls Generation....what can I say about their performance???=OVER RATED!!!

My friends, about 5 of them were there for Girls Generation versus 3 of us who were there for Nicole Scherzinger.....

I asked them WHY WHY WHY??? I can understand Tim and his guy friend who would choose 12 so-so girls over ONE OH-MY-GOD Goddess quality kind of girl as men are Greedy Bastards (no offence, I still love men!)

But the girls also? Ok...their songs are catchy and they are cute and sweet but they were FREAKING LIP SYNCHING!!! and their dancing is shiet!!!

Tim said it was the "Coordination" I say dun BS la....come watch my show and I show you what's skills and coordination...che wah!!! <<

All I can say is that I applaud Girls Generation and their MARKETING tactics!!!

A LOT of people came to their defence by saying that they did not have time to sound check, get use to the space, blah blah blah....but you know what???

Neither did Nicole Scherzinger! and she sang LIVE amazingly WHILE executing her super slick dance moves!!!

I often end up answering myself "Haiyah! Go la!!! I'm only young once and 2012 might be the end of the world......let's end it with big parties and no regrets!"

If you've read my 1st blog post on Body Express, you'll remember me saying that Body Express had "EXTRA" equipments that no other gym in Malaysia has! How would I know?

I've Checked! :-P

Told you I'm a fitness FREAK....and on and off one la...been to many many gyms but need to be more consistent to achieve that Sports Illustrated Body I oh-sooo-desire....HEY!!! It's achievable ok!!! I've already have "good genes" in certain areas if you know what I mean :-P

Back to the topic on the equipments. I know you must be curious to what are those Thingamajigs are used for???

Body Express is known for it's Spartanz Style exercises which are packaged into smaller ~~less-intimidating~~ 30-minutes classes called Kettle bell, ABT (Abs, Butts & Thighs), etc...

Just think a fitness work out to get those Gerard Butler-ish kind of body~~~

In fact if you are super good or ~~CRAZY~~ you can participate in their Spartanz Challenges which are held every few Saturdays and you can win prizes!!!

I've already witnessed one of their challenge, even their Strongest ~~HOT-YOUNG-BLOOD-HOPEFULLY-NOT-GAY~~ looking competitor was like "Tire Pancit" after the whole challenge.....

Personally, I've been to about 20 of their classes....the first few times....I really FELT LIKE DYING!!! My body ached like crazy when I woke up in the morning!!!

But after 1 month, I realised I'm getting stronger and stronger!!! I can FREAKING PULL MYSELF UP ON THE PULL BAR DOING KNEE RAISES X 40 TIMES #likeaboss!!!

RAWR!!!! No pictures of me la....coz I took some and I looked fat so forget it :-P Next post I'll give you some of me :-P

Truth be told, I only lost 1 kg in a 1 month period coz tough I lost fat, I gained muscles which apparently is heavier than fat....trying not to "look" to bulky by lengthening my muscle's going for body express's Yoga classes which I will talk about in the next few post :-)

Anyways, here are the videos I've shot during one of the classes which uses a plastic pole/bar as part of the exercise....The instructor in the video, Judan is only 17/18 years old! OHMAIKOT!!! I can freaking be his mother!!! lol jokes!!! He's the owner Harry's younger brother.....So I guess it's in the blood :-)

Nowadays, while I'm driving around listening to the radio, I hear tons of awesome new.........

Gone are the days where I was the naive me thinking of what relationships are and how a breakup would be like....Both are equally OVERRATED I would say...

Getting in a relationship with someone is easy...getting out of a relationship is also super easy...okay...maybe just with me la...I'll go "bye bye, take care and have a GREAT life :-D"....Imma a strong believer of the saying "If you love someone, let them go..."

This new version one also not bad...Wahahahahah!!!

WHAT'S so difficult about breakups and relationships then???

I guess the processes in between: The MAINTENANCE of the relationship and The ACCEPTANCE that the relationship/person is not what you had idealized it/him/her to be...

Nowadays, I also often read about my younger blogger girl friends blogging/facebook-ing/tweeting about their relationship issues and I compared them to myself....because that was the EXACT mistake I made, blogging/facebook-ing & tweeting my relationship issues....BAD BAD BAD WRONG WRONG WRONG...!!

Thinking back...there were many things I should've and shouldn't have done in my past relationships...but being young,,,we ALL act following our HEART as we grow older we learn to follow our HEAD more...

What am I??? I'm an IN BETWEEN......I am able to understand perspective on relationships from both my older girlfriends and younger ones.....

Sometimes, I see my younger girlfriends being upset about their bf and I would LOVE to advice them " girl ar...guys right...liddat liddat...liddis liddis..."

But I guess I'm in no position to say anything :-S But it seriously feels so DEJAVU!!! Things I didn't understand then were things I understand now....!!! Why he acted like this, why did he say that...I can answer all questions right now #likealoveguru

Sometimes I wish I could turn back time and changed all the wrongs....but then again, I wouldn't have grown up if life were that smooth...I really should stop blaming myself for making mistakes...

When I was young, it was all about the passion & gut feeling, I do performances because I LOVE IT!!! I travel because I LOVE IT!!! I do charity work because I LOVE IT!!! I studied mass communication because I ENJOY IT!!! I'm friends with someone because they are FUN!!! I took dance lessons because it was FUN!!! I loved someone....well because I sincerely LOVED him!

As I mature/am older I start to think:-

"I love performing la....but money so-so only...how to pay bills wor..."

"If I go for another travel & working holiday, damn syiok la....but when I come back edi already how old?wanna start all over again competing with new graduates meh?"

"I don't have time to do charity work....eventhough I really need the good karma T__T"

"Why did I study mass comm???!!! If I study something skill based, It would have been much easier for me to migrate and get employed overseas!!!"

"Dance lessons har? better take finance/investment courses that can help me learn how to earn more money"

"How to date younger guys when they don't even know what they want? Love & Sunshine cannot put food on the table leh...my future children needs education leh..."

Is this signs of maturity or am I loosing my dreams & passion to something called REALISM??? T__T

Pilates at Pilatique, Damansara Heights

I first heard about the benefits of Pilates 6-7 years back when I was reading a celebrity gossip magazine

An article on Hilary Duff caught my eyes...during my teen years, Lizzie Maguire was a BIG hit...I was hooked on it even though I hate how Hilary Duff always wear the wrong bra...her boobs would always be sooo high up, almost touching her collar-bone...

oh ya...back to the article, it was about Hilary Duff losing weight and firming/toning up with Pilates.....

She looked amazing!!! her body looked really lean and firm...though it could also be due to dieting.

I've tried Pilates "floor-exercises" before in gyms and also at a yoga centre that I go to. However, I was always curious about the "super-intimidating" looking machine I see at the gyms...

I EVENTUALLY had the chance to try it out at Pilatique in Damansara Heights.

I learnt that the "super-intimidating" looking machine is called a CARRIAGE/CADILLAC.....like Cinderella's pumpkin but less sparkly...

and Oh yea....I DID experience the differences between Pilates floor exercise and also using their equipments....

People always think that Pilates & Yoga are easy peasy, until they tried it themselves........ask my MHB (Malaysia's Hottest Blogger) manager TIM CHEW!!! LOLX!!!

Being an ex-ballerina, I thought in all forms of dance and movement, once you've mastered ballet you'd be ~~GOD-LIKE~~ Unstoppable......HELL NO!!!!!

After 4 sessions at Pilatique, Jules my trainer asked me what I thought of Pilates...I told her

But like all other forms of exercises, everything needs practice and time in getting use to new movements of your body....

Jules (my trainer) would often give me the most weights/resistance as I'm quite strong *cues wonder woman theme song*

Despite being "strong", I was actually wobbly and shaky while trying to control my movements, breathing and what Jules would call "stop your ribs from Popping"....

STRESS.com....Jules also said that I'm always very "kan-cheong".....she's right! I'm a very "kan-cheong" and impatient person....I'm always rushing rushing rushing....NEED to learn how to RELAX!

After the session on the carriage we would do some twisting & stretches first....

VERDICT: I'm pretty glad that Jules (our trainer) told me that I have one of the better postures she's seen *kembang* lol jokes! At least I didn't waste my mum's money at ballet and gymnastics :-P......On a serious note, learning Pilates, I've learned to pay attention to different parts of my body while exercising. I find that sometimes when I'm focusing on a certain aspect of the exercise (breathing, point/lift toes) that I tend to forget a different part of my body that I should control too (spine, ribs, etc.). What Pilates teaches you is coordination & control....it may look easy but after 1 session you'll definitely can feel those lactic acid get to you a few hours later or the day after.....well, in all forms of exercises, remember, NO PAIN NO GAIN....

24 years ago, a baby girl was born in a hospital at Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur....she'll catwalked out of her mummy's tummy and started singing like the diva she is........hahahahah!!! jokes....I wish la....If I could do that I would have already been famous :-P

I initially told everyone that I wanted a "low profile" & simple birthday when EVERYONE asked me, "What do you want to do for your birthday?"

I was thinking to myself, 2012 edi wor, if really end of the year how? somemore my Dragon birth year only come once every 12 years wor....

So I decided la, If the world is going to End, I want to spend my last moments with people I love and care about, My Family & Friends :-)

24 years old!!! Quarter age crisis!!! I constantly find myself thinking "What should I do with my life?"....so many things I would love to do yet so afraid of making the wrong steps.....

I find that as I grow older, I'm more frighten of making mistakes that might result in huge huge DISAPPOINTMENTS.....is this an old person thing??? TT____TT

The super-famous Paul Frank (if you haven't heard of it, where the hell have you been these past 10 years???) launch it's 2nd Malaysian outlet at KLCC last week...

These Southern California brand has been worn by many celebrities and is available globally!!!

A visit to the Belgian Ambassador House-Launch of Grimbergen Beer!

Attended the launch of Grimbergen, a Belgian beer that is famous in Europe and North America

The launch was held at the Belgian Ambassador's House...my 2nd time visiting an Ambassadors house actually, the first was the Thai ambassador with the larger-than-life Kee Hua Chee and pageant queen Chantelle :-)

On arrival, I was served with Bellini....which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I always opt for sweet wines & alcoholic drinks (cocktails!) as I believe that there are so much bitterness in life already, why not add more sweetness to it! :-D

Btw, I was going for the Indian Princess look that day....lovin it!!!

I was also treated to a spray on tattoo!!! first time! XD

Do you think I should keep my jet black hair or go back to light brown?

Hey everyone! Being a fitness buff, if you are close friends with me, you'd know I've got sooo much energy in me that I'm always trying new forms of dances & exercises.

After ~~over-eating~~ gaining some winter weight in New Zealand, I am terribly upset that my friends & ex-clients mentioned "Wah...so fat edi huh?"....

I decided to sign myself up to a gym located in Subang Avenue (same row as Subang Parade & next to Carrefour) called Body Express Fitness Club

Located on the 3rd Floor...you'll definitely won't miss the blue & green Neon lights

Take a break and order one of their yummy protein shakes...what is exercise when you don't watch what you eat!

What I love about Body Express is that they have a lounge area for their member and you know what else? Free WIFI!!! Being someone whose work heavily relies on the internet, this is a huge plus point!

I'm hardly here at the weights area though, as I want to be lean lean lean! Being a "genetically blessed" person in the muscles department Thanks to my years and years of dance training, carrying weights would only result in my muscle memory telling me "Hello! I'm back!" a big No-No! Though they say women will not bulk up....unfortunately, I'm one of those women who will T__T

There's also a play area for mummies and daddies who would like to bring their kids along....under 16 year old Kids please!

What I found most interesting about Body Express at my first visit was....

Body Express also has kettle bells!!! yupe! like the ones you see American Fitness trainers use on Astro's TLC

They'd also provide bath & hand towels for their members to use...save the hassle of packing too much stuff!

Follow me on my fitness updates for the next 3 month while I experience Body Express's range of classes especially their signature "SPARTANZ" class...

Maybe another pageant or a feature on FHM after that? :-P RAWR!!!
